I've been many times but this time brought out of town friends. The food was great. The staff was wonderful! We had a wonderful time!
Restaurant is large, loud and bustling (a Saturday night) which is not our style. First glass of prosecco went went back (warm, aack), but the next 3 were perfectly chilled. I had a glass of the Chianti classic and then the supertuscan, both excellent. Split the buratta for starters, excellent. I had the spaghetti with white clam, which was superb and I'd order again in a heartbeat. My wife had the pesto ravioli, which was bland and rather gluey, would not do that again.
If you can get the awful maitre d' to give you a good table, you are all set. Terrific waiters, very good food, nice atmosphere. But there are bad tables they will try to put you at while loudly proclaiming they are giving you a good one. Ridiculous and taints an otherwise excellent place.

This was our second time at Trattoria. It is a great restaurant at a reasonable NYC price.
Very pleased. Great for pre-performance. Staff friendly and efficient. Lasagna a little more salty for my taste. Excellent deserts.
Met a friend for dinner. The food, service and atmosphere were all just great. The lemoncello dessert was to die for!!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating . We will return for sure.
The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Authentic Italian food. Loved the lobster carbonara.
Best maitre d in NYC. Hands down.
