The Trattoria dell"Arte is a long standing asset just below Central Park on 7th Ave. The owners also own Fiorello's, across from the Met Opera, and the two restaurants have some similarities in their atmosphere and menu. The service is fine; the food is good, but not great, and it's generally enjoyable. But it is noisy. Two or three times here, and you'll become a regular. The people are very friendly.
Based on review and menu, I expected more. Food was disappointing somewhat bland Bistecca Fiorentina, was not Bistecca ltotally different meat cut and average taste whole fish looked good as per my friend it was good hover, where they catch such a tiny fish, yet to be determined The best about this place is service, they very friendly accommodating and efficient
My husband & I brought my son & 5 of his college friends. The food was outstanding and the waiter made fabulous recommendations. The decor is artistic & interesting. It's a very busy place and a bit rushed if you are going to the theater but any other time, a great choice!
The menu here is the same as Fiorella's at Lincoln Center. My friend had the meat stuffed ravioli and it was wonderful. The veal piccatta had too much butter in the sauce which it took away from what was very tender veal. The prices are a bit high but probably in line with other restaurants that close to Central Park,
Trattoria del'Arte is a favorite neighborhood restaurant. Outstanding service is assured and the antipasto bar is replete with delicious morsels. There is always a continental flair blended with warmth and conviviality. You can't go wrong dining here.
From the moment we entered, we felt welcomed at this place. Food was excellent and service superb. Run don't walk to Trattoria Dell'Arte.
After a busy day at a Trade Show we were looking for some great food in a relaxed atmosphere with great service. We chose Trattoria Dell'Arte as we often do and once again we were not disappointed. Handling a large group of people with guests arriving and leaving at various times and orders changing by the minute is usually a challenge for most but the Staff here rolls with the punches and puts on a good show every time. Thank you again for a wonderful dining experience.
Friendly, good location, well appointed and teriffic food/wine. Definitely a 'go to' restaurant in New York.
