Had a great time. John our waiter knew exactly when to appear and when to disappear. Food was very good, especially the thin crust pizza's. Main courses were very tasty. On our list for our next visits to NYC.
Food is always good but the service is routinely truly terrible. Endless waits and repeated request for most basic things -- they seem understaffed. They're obviously relying on location near Carnegie Hall and not on repeat business of people working in the area. I'd go more often if experience was better.
Food was great. Seating was ok. Service based on the seating was good
Good food, excellent location for those looking at a quick bite after spending time at Carnegie Hall. The food, while not outstanding, fits well with a night out based on its convenience to other attractions. We both had entree dishes (which were extremely large), but the flatbread pizza appears to be very popular with diners. We would both return to the restaurant, it just didn't have what it takes to be a "Top 10" type restaurant for special occasions.
Trattoria Del' Arte is amazing!!!!!! From the moment we walked and were offered to check out coats, it was an amazing dining experience. Mark, our server, was not only attentive, but anticipated what we wanted. The burrata caprese was light, fluffy and delicious. It's a must have. Another must have is the chicken parmigiana. I repeat, must have. We ended the meal with delicious cannolis and chocolate bark which paired wonderfully with their wine selection. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Cheers!!!
Everytime I go to nyc I go to this restaurant, always consistent in service and food, love it.
Spent weekend of December 12, 2015 in NYC and was looking for a great dinner on Sunday for two that was not filled with tourists. Trattoria'Arte filled the bill. Great service, great food and a great location. The restaurant was busy with folks heading to the theatre but it quickly emptied out and the noise level quieted down. Service was great!! We were not rushed by our waiter. Cudos to the kitchen team, as even though they were very busy we did not wait for our orders to be created. Even though we were stuffed from the Sc... read more
super great...large portions.worth the effort to get to the table
By and large, a meal at Trattoria Dell'Arte is a pleasant experience. The Italian food is sometimes excellent, and the service is mostly attentive. But too often, dishes are uninspired, and though the ambiance is festive, the disappointing food diminishes the experience.
