Consistent and never disappoints.
If you go with a group, be careful of the antipasta pricing scheme, which is hard to decipher, and way over priced. Plus, expect the waiter to push it hard. Other dishes may mysteriously appear. Be ready to shut them down if you're on a budget.
The food , service and ambiance never fail to impress each time I've been to the restaurant. I am always greeted with a smile and a big welcome. The service is always wonderful. I've ordered different dishes each time. This time it was a flavorful chicken breast on the bone served with thin slices of grilled eggplant , preceded by a well seasoned ,lightly dressed asparagus and greens salad. We have been coming to NYC yearly, for the last 10 years and always eat at Trattoria Dell'Arte. It is always a wonderful experience, with delicious food, but they have taken several of my favorite dishes off the menu, Pasta with Seafood & Chicken Marsala, to name a few. Wish there were several more pasta options.

Ate a post theater dinner on Sunday June 16. Our reservation was for 9:45pm but we had misjudged how long the show lasted and were 30 minutes late. We were seated immediately. the restaurant was pretty quiet when we arrived and totally empty when we left. They were cleaning up and closing up around us. The food was pretty good.
