Great Italian food, great service, reasonable pricing, and great service. Very pleased with the choice.
Each year when we visit New York, we always make at least one visit to Trattoria Dell'Arte. We love the food, the service and the people. We also love the design by Milton Glaser, especially the sculptural "fragments" and the "roman noses". The scaffolding around the building has been in place for several years. Is it ever coming down?
Taken here by someone who has been a fan of this fine establishment forever, I was simply blown away. The pasta dishes are to die for and the Mediterranean Bass the most tasty fish ever. Great service, great ambiance. A wonderful mean in a romatic environment.
Trattoria was very crowded, although we had made a reservation, and we sat for quite a while without being able to order anything. But this did not matter that much, since we enjoyed talking; eventually our waiter was solicitous and fast, and our dinner was just great. We had two different wines by the glass, each excellent, and our waiter happily provided us with extra plates so we could share the three courses. Over-all, Trattoria is one of my favorite restaurants, for the food, ambiance, and friendly welcome.
Trattoria Dell'Arte is one of our favorite restaurants. I can't afford to go often, but I'm always delighted to go and it's always a memorable night out. The antipasti is world-class. The service is warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I always find Trattoria Dell'Arte a reliable place for good food, service and a pleasant venue. Wish they'd add the grilled calamari back on the menu.
We absolutely love Trattoria! Don't go to NY without eating there at least once. The pizza is the best in town along with everything else they make. Don't just show up and think you can get in. You must make a reservation or eat at midnight! It's worth the wait. The waiters are very helpful and know how to take excellent care of all tables. You are missing out if you don't go!
