Went for lunch and ordered from the price-fixe menu. Excellent appetizers (flavorful robolitta soup and very fresh and crunchy asparagus beet salad) and so-so main entrees (bland salmon and fatty lamb chops).
I always enjoy dinner here! Its a great place with outstanding food! Don't miss the antipasto bar! I have been here six or seven times and it is consistently good! The wait staff is attentive and friendly, the energy in the restaurant is always buzzing--its a fun place for a great meal before a show.
Last week I had another great meal at Trattoria. I had the one of the most gracious waiters I've had in a long time. He did not pressure us or rush us out the door. Quite the contrary, he brought out pistachio ice cream with a sparkler and champagne to celebrate my birthday. I have been coming to Trattoria for years. My wife and I dined at Trattoria Dell'Arte on our wedding anniversary while in NYC. The experience was wonderful. The restaurant surprised us with complimentary cannoli and champaign as an anniversary gift. The waiter was phenomenal. Our experience was so good, we returned the following evening for dinner, accompanied by two of our friends. I've dined at this restaurant 4 times, and my experience each time has been wonderful. Great food!

We were seated by incredible friendly staff immediately upon arrival, noting that we had 8 pm theatre tix. We did not like our noisy table by the kitchen door, but when we asked to move, they did so w/a smile. We were then seated in an AWESOME wine cellar, fit with only 3 tables. Price fixed lunch was outstanding! Good choices, delicious.
My dining experience was excellent. I was seated at a table of my choice even though the rest of my party had not arrived. The service was excellent as was the food. One of us had soft shell crabs and the other had snapper in the clay pot with a side of grilled asparagus - all superb. The waiter brought some champagne and complimentary sorbet on the house. We could not have been more pleased and we look forward to returning soon.
