Our family is big fans of Fieldstone Assisted Living and Memory Care. Both of our folks lived at Fieldstone for over a year. The staff was very helpful and available. They showed a lot of patience with the residents, especially our Dad when he got frustrated. They encouraged family members to be involved and showed compassion when both our folks' health deteriorated. We are so thankful our folks spent the last months of their lives at Fieldstone.
Both of my parents have been at Fieldstone Grandridge for 2+ years. Over that time I have had weekly if not daily interaction with the staff and management at the facility. While no "place" is perfect - it is after all a seniors "right" to complain a little - the overall experience has been most excellent. The care is outstanding, and my Mother requires more than most. Both my Mother and Mother -in-law are here. My mother is retired independant. She likes the activities, the foods, the staff, and her apartment! My Mother-in-law has assisted living. She needed to help getting her medications at the correct time. This has helped her alot. She also likes, the activities, the staff, and her apartment. My Dad was one of the first residents of Fieldstone. He had lived at Charbonneau, now Solstice, for several years but had fallen and had to have a hip revision. We felt he would need help in the future and Fieldstone has assisted living as an option. He needed very little help until the last few months of his life. I won’t say it went smoothly all the time. Needed alternate shower facilities for Mother after an injury. Facility is beautiful (approx 2 yrs old) but understaffed with some residents having to assist other residents on a regular basis. Mgmt advised. Need to watch billing practices. Chef is very talented. Top notch with high quality food.
As we looked at many options for my parents we felt this community had a better atmosphere that we liked. So far the retirement part of community is providing what my parents need. The food is good for all the meals. Both the residents and staff are good.
My mom likes being here. She likes the staff a lot, they are really nice and caring to her and everyone else. They take good care of her. She likes the trips they take them on. We picked them because they are a newer facility, cheaper, and in a good location for the family.
My wife and I were impressed with the tour we took. The place was clean and the staff and residents were all very friendly. They had a nice dining area and it was arranged nicely. the apts were a bit smaller than we were looking for but we would recommend this place to anyone looking.
I absolutely loved Fieldstone when I toured. The place was clean and very well maintained. Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. The thing was that it did not seem like my mother would fit in with the people there, other than that this was probably the best choice for her.
