NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again will I use Truesdell. My 16 year old was having upper respiratory issues. She has been seen there before. Called on Friday and was not able to make an appointment till Tuesday. Called Monday am because she was dehydrated and had not eaten for 24 hours. Their response....find another vet. Their front office staff have no empathy at all. NEVER again.
This is not a clinic to take your pet to for orthopedic concerns. Vets there claimed they did not see a fracture on x rays which I viewed one month later and was able to see. After 3 weeks the vet who should have identified herself as unqualified immediately completely fractured this kittens leg in an unsedated movement of the ankle , then claiming little Kises had a bad sprain with torn tendon which would definitely heal in 3 to 4months during which time she was to continue the use of Metacam an antii flamatory which wou... read more
I had just moved to the Madison area and was looking for a new vet for my dog. We decided on Truesdell because it was close to home. Our initial visit was with Dr.White and everything went great. I wanted to get my dog a dental cleaning so they gave me an estimate on what it would cost... on the high and low end... she warned me that prices could change a little but that was the ball park. A weekish later, it was time for the dental cleaning. I thought this was going to be a quick in, drop my dog off and pick him up when he... read more
Business response:
Thank you for your review. I wanted to take the time to discuss the circumstances of your visits with you. At the recheck appointment, we heard a significant heart arrhythmia and felt that it was in the best interest of your dog's health to have his heart evaluated before going under anesthesia. We never want to take unnecessary risk with heart issues and anesthesia if we can avoid it. We always give estimates to the best of our knowledge and update those estimates as that knowledge changes. In your dog's case, the estimates... read more
Dr Meier was by far the worst experience of my life. During our first app, when she was trying to get my business and money, all went very well. The second app, this women was so out of it, that scares me that someone else has to go to the same trouble as we did..She took my pet from me in a very harsh way, he was chewing a treat and obviously a dog is not happy when a stranger grabs him in a rude manner from his owner's lap and takes abruptly his chew.. then this abomination of a DVM told me because my dog reacted to her, t... read more
They provide good service, but are probably one of the most expensive vets on the east side. $110 for an exam/consult and "lab" work for a healthy dog. That didnt include any flea/tick preventive. They are very quick to offer the most expensive services first, then discuss more cost effective alternatives after you say no. Dr. Brittany is very nice and good with my dog.
Actually I had the opposite experience. i took my Blue Front Amazon Parrot, "Buster", in 2 years ago. They assured me that they were experienced at treating birds and he had begun to sneeze occasionally so I wanted him looked at. In spite of my telling them that he was wild-caught and not used to being held, the doctor had her assistant hold him for what seemed to me at least 10 minutes as she examined him at length. I noticed he was in distress and remember saying "I've never heard him make sounds like that before". She ass... read more
