I gave my initial review back on 10/07/2013 shortly after purchasing a 2006 Chevy Equinox from Tynan's Nissan. See my original review below for details. I did follow up with a BBB claim and still Tynan's refused to make the repair to the vehicle that was stated to have been repaired prior to selling it to me. They noted many issues on their "Used Car Multi-Point Inspection" dated 7/19/13 they provided me with and then also provided me with documentation of repairs. Apparently NONE of these documented repairs were actually ma... read more
Tynan's Nissan in Fort Collins, Colorado. I have an ABS light on my Xterra. They want $99 to diagnose. I go to my Big O Tire on North College. They code the problem as a bad right front hub for free. The hub is under my extended warranty. I go to Nissan. They say that its the speed sensor which is bad and not covered under my warranty. They want $600 to replace speed sensor. I don't do it and go back to Big O Tire with a purchased speed sensor:$215. They look at the hub and come back to me that the hub is bad which is the re... read more
On November 25, 2013 I went to Tynan Nissan to look at cars. Jake showed us a 2007 Hyundai Elantra. Price was ok, and settled on it. On December 13, after driving the car a bit, other than the customary test drive, I noticed "pulling" to the right side and this horrible squeaking/grinding from right side, was told that was because they were new brakes, concerned, I took the car back to dealership, after doing some investigating, found this car had been in an accident and had been a rental fleet car, I was infuriated. The ser... read more
Worst experience with a dealer I've ever had. I had a simple lease buyout, no financing, and they screwed up all the paperwork. They didn't have all of it signed on my visit and took a month to figure out they were missing something. It then took them three tries to get it mailed to the correct address. When my temporary tags were going to expire Otto initially stated he would file for a 30 extension, then denied he ever said that with only 4 days to go and put it all on me. Every time I called it took Otto 3 or 4 voicemails... read more
My initial review was a good one; however, things have changed. I purchased a 2006 Chevy Equinox from Jake Howard, who was friendly and helpful. On the test drive we noted a noise (sort of a rattling/clunking) which we thought was the table in the back, as it was not sitting firmly in the slide-in area. The vehicle was very clean and "appeared" to be in great shape cosmetically. However, within hours of purchasing it I had many issues. The "rattling/clunking" got very bad and the brakes were pulsing and squeaking and the ABS... read more
Our experience with this dealership ended very poorly. The day after we completed the transaction, we noticed some hail damage on the top of the truck's cab. My call to the dealer barely registered, and it certainly was not met with any sort of apology or sympathy. We understand "buyer beware" and we are certainly willing to accept some fault for not having inspected the vehicle more completely before buying...HOWEVER, we also understand integrity. The damage was never disclosed (not by CARFAX, verbally, or otherwise). The e... read more
The salesman Justin was downright rude. We were vehicle shopping and wanted to look at the Rogue. Since we weren't ready to buy just yet, he said, "Saturday is my money day and I have to attend to paying customers." I would've understood if there was a line of people waiting to speak with a salesman, but there wasn't. In fact there were 2-3 salesmen just standing around. We politely exited and went to the next town and bought a Rogue. Thanks Justin for helping us choose a friendly salesperson NOT at Tynans.
I've had several experiences with Tynans during the car buying process that have not been great. It started with the salesperson who could not answer my questions about the differences between the Xterra models. I was ready to buy that day, but ended up going home to do some additonal research online to understand all the differences. Basically she would read the window sticker to me and laugh about not knowing anything. Rather that take that as a hint, i kept my business local and did buy the vehicle on the return trip. the... read more
