While shopping today I noticed a customer ask an employee if he had any Lysol wipes. The employee went in the back and came out with one. I nicely ask if I could get one also. He said they they were only for the store and certain customers. Really? We all the food store choices I guess my money will be better spent else where.
The woman that made the eggs in the morning has been replaced by the Castrol's man who floats eggs in oil ... in a non stick pan. Prices went up food quality and selection went down . Go to Burger King for a better egg sandwich
This place is nothing like old Turco's. The staff is unfriendly and their uniforms are filthy. The deli workers are slower than turtles. Some of the employees who handle food, show visible signs of having cold, this is very unsanitary and honestly disgusting. They wipe their nose with uniforms, than handle your food. If you don't want to get sick and get substandard service than find a better place to shop.
The store is dark, not well lit at all, not a very pleasant place to shop. The roasted butternut squash I purchased from the deli had quite a few pieces that had not been cooked through, almost raw. And it's the first roasted butternut squash I've ever seen that was not cut into nice chunks. All the person did with this was slice the squash. The chicken in the Tuscan grilled salad was horribly dry and the pieces were very large and tough. It kind of gave you the feeling that whoever was making the "salads" couldn't be bother... read more
Horrible customer service and horrible place to shop don't go there a bunch of cheats watcch your prices and a lot of there of there produce is not fresh
This was not a good experience. None of the prepared salads looked appetizing. In fact, most looked like they had a crust on them from sitting too long. In cold cuts, I saw the absolute worst piece of prosciutto di Parma. I couldn't believe that they were offering this for sale. We purchased some 'fresh' pasta and had it this evening. I'm wondering how fresh it actually was. We purchased four additional boxes of fresh ravioli and I'm almost afraid to try it but will cook off some of it tomorrow. Bakery products......we purch... read more
Waiting to see how Uncle Gs survives the transition before I made my decision about shopping there. I figured they have a lot to live up to with Turcos. Changes are not trending well. The store is too crowded with product. I heard a manager arguing with an employee in front of me, the customer. The fish counter is beginning to look less than fresh, which is the most distressing thing to me. AND, I had to laugh when I read the review about the brussell sprouts being packaged instead of loose, because I had just complaine... read more
The soup is no longer made from scratch- it is poured out of a box and heated! Bring back Vinny the butcher, even though I doubt he would return after you fired him! Age discrimination or after 20 years too expensive??? A positive, The bread is good.

We have been disappointed with the transition from Turco's. We are an older couple who care about the quality of our food. I bought the pancetta for a special meal for guests - I also bought the better veal cutlets. Neither was good. The veal was tough and pancetta horrible. It was not a success. I've made the same dish with freshly sliced veal cutlets and great pancetta when it was still Turco's and the dish was wonderful. I want to invite the guests back and make a great Halibut dish I made using fresh Halibut from Turco'... read more
