Sales rep tried to bump the price 1k over what this vehicle was listed for on Car Gurus before I even got there with “dealer” add ons. Don’t waste your time at Vandergriff.
Went to see the car, had an appointment, the car didn’t have everything that was listed according to the website we found it on. We sat at a table waiting for a salesman to come back, after about 10 minutes we left
They contacted me quickly and every person that I spoke with was courteous and professional. That's about where the positives end. First of all, they had pulled the wrong car that was about $5k more than the one I called on. I guess we can assume that this was an honest mistake. They are scam artists who will rip off whoever will let them get away with it. They made me a low ball offer on my trade and when I said no and not to contact me again, someone else called me back. I once again said do not contact me again so then someone emailed me to offer me $2000 more. Why weren't they fair to begin with? Because they cheat people. That's why. After looking the vehicle over notice vehicle had. been in an accident or damaged even though it listed otherwise. The price on vehicle listed 13'999 but on website was listed lower when I mention it was told it's up to me to inform them of the difference.. Not good customer service.
I saw this vehicle on CarGurus site. I requested information from the dealership to see if it was still available for sale. I received a response from a internet sales manager advising it was. I drove over to the dealership during my lunch hour but much to my surprise after arriving an assistant went searching for the truck and returned sometime later stating the vehicle was being inspected and wouldn't be ready for showing until later. Almost signed on this vehicle but did not because they are using deceptive business practices. The price of $15211 is fictitious the sale price on the final paperwork they sent showed selling price of $16,800.
1st day listed $13,250, a great deal! Made appointment to test drive. Drove it, found a large crack in dashboard. Was told $1200 to fix. Went home, texted an offer of $14,000 cash & trade-in. Next day suv listed $15,999. Wouldn’t have wasted mine and their time on just a fair price! Won’t be going back there!
The price you see on the internet is not the price they give when you walk in. Apparently the shop costs are not included and that will run about 2k more. Not good business
