My husband, [name removed], and I have been living in one of the cottages at Verena of Hilliard for a little over 9 months. We are very happy that we made the move. The staff members have been very welcoming and have made themselves available to discuss any issues, questions, or just to chat. Staff very friendly and nice to work with. Cottages reasonable to rent. They should certainly consider Verena at Hilliard.

It's attached to the public library. No need to even go outside. It is a nice place that I would definitely recommend to others.

Truly we are family at Verena. We know one another’s name without their name tag. We pretty much know how many children they have and where they lived. We know what you have done in the past. We know about your health because we are concerned about one another. At the dinner table or at breakfast table we will laugh at one another and with one another and we know where we can joke and we cannot. My husband, [name removed], and I have been living in one of the Verena cottages for about a month. We are very happy that we made the move. We have a beautiful view of the pond from our back patio. The rooms are spacious with lots of natural light coming in through the many windows. Of course, with any new build there are glitches to work out. Toured this facility twice and had lunch once. It is very clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Verena to anyone looking for a retirement facility. Was pleased and impressed at the closed spaces for ‘stuff’ - which is what I need.

Previously booked an appointment but happened to be in vicinity so decided to drop in. Marketing personnel were out on tour with other clients. Was greeted by resident who was most helpful in securing a brochure and answering questions. Resident was very positive about the services and amenities! Certainly a site to add to your search for senior living, etc.!

I came in for a tour to check out this community for my parents. What a beautiful place and setting. While I was there they had a musician that was fantastic. I looked over at my dad and he was tapping his fingers agreeing with what he heard. The staff was so sweet starting at the front door. My dad is very quiet and shy and when he saw his name on the board he started chuckling. He looked at my mom and said look there, we are stars. I am a resident here at the Verena at Hilliard. I have been so for the last 2 years. When I first moved in, I was nervous, quiet and to myself. Mostly depressed because my husband had just died. I met a lot of the other residents, but I still stayed to myself. After a month or two I came out and attended a musical activity.
