Toured this facility and although it was very nice and homey the pricing is a little over the budget. My father-in-law professed he did not want to share a room with anyone and a private room is way too much.

Business response:

A Place For Mom Customer, we are so pleased you enjoyed your visit to Pacifica Senior Living Victoria Court!

It's a older building without a van for trips, but the idea of an enclosed building is a great idea and it might work for my parents.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!

I liked the friendly ness of the administrators but there really isn't a lot of activity to the program that is located in the basement....nor over site of the people wondering the corridors. Residents can go alone outside in the fenced and locked area. But no one checks on them. There was a resident lady who was sitting on the ground weeding. Although she got down to ground she couldn't get herself back up. I happened to see her while I was visiting my Husband and had to go get someone to help her up. [name removed] room co... read more

I wouldn't recommend the community to others. I found the furniture was filthy. The management told me that corporate would be delivering new furniture and this never came be. There was a time I found my loved one on the floor after they had fallen. The staff didn't try to assist my loved one up after a fall. The community didn't tell the family about their procedures when this happened. I found it strange that the community doesn't help the residents up. My loved one's room had a horrible smell when I would visit. The furni... read more

When you tour assisted livings, they all say the same things about valuing each resident and preserving their dignity. The nicest thing about Victoria Court is what they say on their tours is actually what they do.

Business response:

Anonymous, thank you for your kind words and this wonderful review!

The very first night she was put here my mom fell and broke her hip and had to go to the ER and never went back to Pacifica Senior Living. They promised me they would give me the money back and I never got anything. I reached out several times and then all of a sudden communication was cut off from me. It was a terrible experience and I would not recommend them to others looking for loved ones who have dementia.

Business response:

Your review is very concerning to us. We would appreciate if you would contact our community by calling (401) 441-6163 to speak with our Executive Director about your recent experience.

STAY AWAY! I put my Mom here and she was dead in less than two months. I saw her the Monday of the week she died & when I left I said to myself she's going to live till 100! That Wednesday she was fatigued & not eating. She was seen by their doctor, blood tests were requested, one of their aids asked my Mom if she needed to go to the hospital, AND NOT ONE OF THEIR FIVE STAFF WHO KNEW MY LEGALLY BLIND MOTHER WITH DEMENTIA WAS NOT WELL CALLED ME. My Mom died Thursday night. Had they had the courtesy to call me I would have bee... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your time to review. First of all, we want to offer our deepest sympathies for the unexpected passing of your mother. We are grateful that you found our care comforting on your Monday visit that showed the health and happiness of someone who would "live to be 100!" Our physician has re gular visits to see any resident who is feeling poorly for any reason and if they felt a hospitalization was an option, families are notified immediately. We agree that no person should go to the hospital alone. While we cannot s... read more

The lady that is in charge of admissions assured us that Victoria Court was perfect place for our mom. There is a $3000 fee when you sign on the dotted line so we went ahead with it because we believed the admissions director. The weekend staff was terrible . Our mom was often left sitting in her room in her wheelchair very for long periods of time. Their memory care program is very sub par. Someone on staff reported our mothers care to the Elder Care Board saying the night and weekend staff couldn't handle lifting her and s... read more

Business response:

Hello, thank you for leaving us a review. Please give us a call to discuss these concerns further as we very much want to follow up on these allegations. We have a dedicated Manager on Duty program to ensure there is always someone available and the highest staffing ratio in our market area. Unfortunately, there are times when residents decline and are no longer appropriate for memory care and require a skilled nursing facility. Our goal is to delay that next step for as long as possible to allow residents to remain in the l... read more
