10/21/21 was my first and last time using you! I am looking at my itemized statement, and you charged me things outside of my coverage. Fluoride.....really?! No insurance company covers this over age 15 and I was not asked if I wanted this. You charge to irrigate my mouth while cleaning it.......per quadrant?! You charge for water?! BEWARE! This place is a scam. I recently got new dental insurance and had to switch to Aspen Dental. Prior to my appointment, I had consistent check ups every six months with no issues. I am 35 and haven't had a cavity in years. I've never needed braces. At Aspen, I was told I needed Invisalign and was at risk of breaking my teeth if I didn't get the straightened. I've been going to Aspen Dental for a few years now. I used to love the experience, but the customer service has gone downhill. I have spent hours on the phone trying to understand the billing behind a basic cleaning (the bill was less than $100- nothing major) and was treated with nothing but disrespect. I think they have taken on too many clients and can no longer spend the time to build rapport and actually try to help their patients. This place is so nerve-wrecking! For 3 years now they've been sending me collection letters and calling me about my daughter's visit that was covered under MICHILD Medicaid! Over the years, I've given them ALL of the information they need to process the claim, but their billing department is beyond incompetent!!!! My daughter has had the same Medicaid coverage since birth, her Member number and insurance plan have never changed. No other dentist or doctor has ever had problems processing her claims. A crown I had placed in March of 2016 came off in April of this year while I was out of the country. When we got back I made an appointment and they couldn't get me in for like a week and a half. I waited a while and ended up having to leave b/c we thought I was pregnant. I find out I'm not and I reschedule an appointment b/c at this point my actual tooth has chipped. Aspen Dental was a waste of time. After talking to them on three separate phone calls, telling them that mom had both Medicare and Humana and that I wanted to replace her dentures, they said she didn't have coverage for dentures after we were already at the office. Getting elderly mom with walker out is not easy so sorry is not good enough. We left and won't be back!

I came in after they did my 2 root canals and a bridge in 2016. In January of 2019, The bridge came off and when I came in they said that recementing it, it would not hold. I insisted, so they charged me $50 on top of billin* my insurance. The put the cement in and had me hold it with a rolled up gauze. The bridge didn't even hold for the ride home, three days later I went into another dental practice for a free consultation and he cleaned out the inside of the crown and put in fresh cement-- it has held securely ever since.... read more

Beware of Aspen dental! My husband and I went Aspen in Gadsden,al for new dentures. Went for the first wax try in and they weren't right. The female dentist was a little snippy but I ignored it. Went back for second try in and a third. Each time she was snippy to me and my teeth had a gap between the front two teeth on the dentures. I kept just ignoring her attitude. I wasn't crazy about this place. They seem to put money before the interests of their patients. The first day I went there, they were trying to sell me a $200 toothbrush, and some sort of special paste for sensitive teeth. What annoyed me more than that, though, was that my dentist kept jumping from patient to patient, in between visits. Not only is that unprofessional, but it's just plain rude.
