Moved in May of 2022. They re-listed my house for rent online in July/August and locked us out of our app to pay rent. Can’t reach anyone or get calls back. Finally wrote a strong email and got a call they took it down off online and made us pay a fee for late rent because we could t get in to pay it online. They send us an email the other day “pre-eviction”. We call and call and call no calls back. They call us from collections a day later and tell us our power bill is being sent to them. Worst renting experience I've had. Vinebrook bought the rental I was in, (who weren't much better) in August and I have not been able to pay my bills due to a glitch in their payment portal, I have been calling for 3 months in an attempt to get this fixed and left multiple messages with their call center , they finally reached out to tell me I was being evicted. Heat went out 11/10/22. Came out and got the furnace to start on 11/11/22. Furnace went back out that night. Contacted them 9am 11/12/22 and still nothing at 7pm 11/13/22. No heat, 58 degrees in the house, one animal died due to cold. Told maintenance gas company said need new igniter on 11/111)/22 and they didn't care.
Extreme lack of communication!!! Left several messages through the answering service and never received a response! Allowing people to rent houses that have black mold. My wife had been sick for 3 months!
I need my damn roof fixed. A tree fell on my roof near my sons and daughter room in July before the floods in Saint Louis even happened. It took them about 3 weeks to even get the tree off my roof. And here it is now November and they say they are only going to fix the inside dry wall and replace the carpet but leave the 3 big ***holes in the roof so when it continues to rain and eventually snow, the roof will probably cave in. The house i had was mange great until they sold the house to Vine brook. they take forever to send maintenance out. I had a leading pipe, and they did not come for three days, then my refrigerator went out and another five days (causing my food to go bad) They did not offer to replace my food or nothing. They are very nasty and rude when they decide to replay back to email. IF you do not resign a lease they add hundreds of dollars for a month to month few. NEVER RENT FROM THEM HORRIBLE. We lived in a home in Dayton for a year and a half, maintenance employees were nice and competent if they showed up. We had mold in our house from a leak in the roof, was told last Christmas that they would take care of it in the spring, in spring I put another order in, they came out said we would be top priority, the roof was never fixed. My lease was taken over in August. Since then, we have been trying to find out how to see and pay our utility bills. Over the past two months, we have been told at least 6 different things. I still haven’t seen a utility bill. My water was two months late and in risk of disconnection in September. The only person who heard from them was my roommate. I can't communicate with them, can't pay rent, can't put in maintenance requests, nothing.
