Buying process I've purchased a number of vehicles over the years but this purchase was the easiest. The attention given to the entire process from exploring, deciding and finally purchasing this vehicle was remarkable. All staff members were enjoyable to work. My expectation are high now as it will relates to future servicing my car.
Professional buying Experience I initially talked with Harold - Sale Manager about the Volvo XC70 that was for sale. Harold was well versed in he many features the vehicle was equipped with. A few days later on Saturday I again called the dealership to inquire whether the XC70 I was interested in was still available. I talked with salesman Mike Mullen. Mike said it was still available. Really just a disappointing experience, they were not very helpful and actually kind of flakey. I would list out all of the frustrating stuff that happened... but I'm just glad my interaction with them is over I hope.
They wanted over $400 for a reservoir I purchased for $50. They wanted over$700 for a headless gut assembly that I got for $179. They wanted over $900 for a negative battery cable. They replaced the thermostat housing for over $700 and when I got it home it still leaked anti freeze. I was going to have to bring it back on the boat, pay over $170 for the boat, another $80 for an Uber to get back to the boat. I was told I needed a new key fob (380 dollars) because the “prongs inside were broken”. I brought it home, watched a You tube video and turns out, they had just put the battery in wrong. Fob works fine. Now I am uneasy about other “recommended” repairs.
