We had wonderful food. And no one decorates for Christmas like Frost's. But the the hostess was just so-so, was not welcoming nor glad we were there. The waitress knew we were going to the theatre and did nothing to get our dinner to us with time to spare for coffee and dessert. There was a lot of time between the salad and our dinner. I was surpirsed. Their servers are usually lovely and accommodating. And a small thing: there were white napkins that were linty but we did not know until the end of our meal. We had our employee holiday lunch. As I select locations each year, I pick some place new for our small team and want a festive and decorative ambiance as well as great food and for us to all feel we've had a special and memorable time together. We also want to be able to share good conversation without too much noise around us but to feel private enough to have a good time. And this was all true at WA Frost. We readily enjoyed the entrees and dessert/coffee was extraordinary. Coffee is fair-trade and french pressed in your ... read more
Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Nice relaxing, slow pace to our dining. We never felt rushed though the restaurant was full.
Would have rated higher, but waiter was slow. Brought wrong entree and forgot drink order. Food and ambiance were outstanding.
Because we dined at "dinner rush" time, Frost was very full and noisy, and service seemed a little rushed. However, the food was incredible, as was the wine. The Christmas decorations and visual ambience were lovely, as usual. If you are looking for a slower and less noisy evening so you can enjoy the scenery, go a bit later in the evening.
The only disappointment for us was we ordered an expensive bottle of wine, we had to ask for decanting, and we had to ask for bread. Bread should always be served before tasting wine. Other than that we always enjoy our dinners at WA Frost.
Always a favorite. In warm weather months, wait for a table in Frost's garden patio and then enjoy a quiet brunch in this beautiful garden setting. For happy hour or a quick bite with a few friends, head to the lower level lounge, with its comfortable chairs and couches tucked away into intimate nooks.
We were more than pleased with everything.....food, service, ambiance, location, and the entertainment outside our window.....nice fat squirrels enjoying lunch from the bird feeder. We look forward to our next visit.
We love WA Frost and tell everyone we know about it!
