I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a fine dining experience. The chef takes great thought in the preparation of all of the diverse dishes with vibrant flavors that will leave you wanting more. From the starters to the desserts it was a journey of well thought out delights from one dish to the next. Perfect mushroom soup was followed by a "micro-entree" salad that did not seem to be what was described in the menu. My friend thought it was ok but I found this to be odd. My duck confit was good and the surrounding vegetables were excellent. We shared the trio of min-desserts which were good; the goat milk panna cotta was especially interesting. Perfect as always!
We have enjoyed going to W. A. Frost for dinners starting with our wedding night, and every anniversary since. The pleasant ambiance, outstanding food, and excellent service keep us coming back, and we certainly were not disappointed this year.
Loved the variety of rooms and the decor - cozy. Patio lovely, just a bit to cold to enjoy (next time for sure). Menu gave variety and excitement. Hard to select. Liked the micro choices as well. Great value for the money. Dinnermate said it was the best Manhattan she ever had. Mixology excellent if that's true.
I had not eaten at W.A. Frost for a number of years and had a group of 6 that wanted a good dining experience that would not be hurried. I remember the food being good, but this evening it was excellent. Our server was well versed on both the Menu, Wine list and Cocktails and was both respectful and fun.
We came in to visit our son. We wanted a casual place to catch up. Food/Atmosphere was awesome. Great service as well!
The brunch menu was good and the atmosphere was lovely filled with charm. The service was good. I loved the duck confit salad - would have loved it more if the meat were not on the bone but the skin was divine. The creme brûlée was excellent with a caramel not burned but like glass just perfect. Lots of GLUTEN FREE options on the menu which is nice. My fourteen year old loved his steak and eggs - he is a bit of a foodie and hard to please so that was five stars!
This is a good restaurant in St. Paul's Cathedral Hill neighborhood with good food at reasonable prices. We will definately return again.
