My wife and I dined at WA Frost & Co for Easter brunch. It was elegant but simple. No monstrous buffet, just a selection of delicious and reasonably-priced "order off the menu" items. Just what we were looking for. We also enjoyed the coffee, which was served in individual French presses to brew at the table. She ordered the Eggs Benedict which was delectable. Sourdough toast, pork belly, and perfectly cooked egg. The hollandaise sauce had tangy citrus notes which we both enjoyed. I ordered the apple & brie omelette, which c... read more
Weal ways enjoy going there, this time was Easter evening, never disappointed in overall experience.
Opened with a wonderful Riesling and mushroom soup, followed by smoked trout paired with a sparkling white Next was pork belly which was unfortunately inedible as it was fat with no meat. I sent mine away - never to be talked about again! The Pinot noir pairing was very nice. This was followed by a petite filet, very nicely done and paired with a cab-franc Cheese and desert courses followed Overall good food except the fat course. The service was ok except that multiple people brought out the courses and not all knew exactly... read more
Food preparation was very creative and very flavorful (w/o resorting to a lot of salt, thank you). Service was faultless, with the perfecte wine suggestion, which was inexpensive as well! And the atmosphere is wonderful, as usual. A very pleasant evening!
Service was very slow, out of two dishes we wanted to order. Food was okay but over priced. We've come here for years and it continues to decline.
I hosted a small, 3-person business dinner, and the restaurant was a perfect locale. Prices were not too expensive, and the menu provided an appropriate-sized spectrum of choices with high quality preparation, including sandwiches. The cheese selections were excellent. I also enjoyed a nice glass of wine and fish very well prepared with fingerling potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Except for not ensuring my after-dinner coffee was refilled, the staff was spot on. The atmosphere was quiet enough to have discussions, but not so q... read more
A group of us traditionally goes out together following an event. This year, our traditional restaurant was closed on Monday evening so we opted for W.A. Frost. What a good pick! The food was outstanding, the waitron attentive but not overbearing (and he had an edge!) and a great time was had by all.
We celebrated out monthly "date night" here. It destroyed out eating out budget for March, but we would do it again in a heartbeat. This is a great place for some special time. We will be back as soon as we can save up some money? :)>
Phenomenal cocktails and original, delicious food! They were happy to accommodate the vegan in our party and her meal was just as creative and amazing as the rest of ours! Excellent experience.
