Seafood is fresh & unique. Tasty. Everything seems to have New Orleans twist. Eric & Kevin at bar are professional and make amazing drinks. This is a diamond in the rough. Hostess Brittany was extremely accommodating too.
Met up with a close friend for dinner/HH and was so glad we did. I was wowed by the classy and comforting atmosphere. The menu had a good variety of offerings from appetizers to entrees. We also enjoyed the happy house cocktails. My vodka based gin martini was refreshing and well made. The margarita was underwhelming in terms of flavor. Love the very tasty salmon based fish dip with sourdough bread (generous portions). The hamburger was moist and so delicious with a wonderful flavor. My friend loved her oyster offerings: the... read more
Great restaurant. From atmosphere, to service, to food... all was exceptional. The easy (validated) parking garage to the left of their building is nice, too! I'd definitely return!
Walloon's is a really beautiful restaurant that reminds me of the east coast where I grew up. The interior is really moody and beautiful, so I think it would be a great date night spot. We went for brunch and I was a little disappointed by the menu selection. There were not a ton of options, particularly for vegetarians or those who don't like seafood. I get that this is a seafood restaurant, but it would be nice to see a few more vegetarian options beyond pancakes. The french onion dip was my favorite thing I've eaten i... read more
Atmosphere is good Service is great but it's pretty pricey. We had seafood, but the portion is very small. We had oysters, muscles and soup or something for appetizer. I don't think it's worth for the price for that oysters and muscle soup. I wouldn't go back for another try..
A small restaurant on the corner that serves up seafood in the heart of Cowtown. The service here is top notch. Hats off to Matt, our server for the evening. Walloon's offers a relatively small menu that's mostly seafood (fresh oysters, salmon, etc.) All of it is excellent. I'd like to see more fried seafood on the menu, though. The burger and fries rival that from any steakhouse. Free parking in the nearby garage with validated ticket.
Went to Walloon's for brunch with some dear friends. At our table, we had trout almandine, salmon Benedict, blueberry pancakes and the mussels. Everyone loved their food. I had the mussels, and I can say that they were large, sweet and delicious. The broth was rich and very tasty. The service was impeccable. Arturo assisted us, and he was knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive (but not intrusive). The building is classic and historical, yet feels updated in a good way. Drinks were very good. I will return.
Walloon's is situated on the corner off a Magnolia business strip with parking in the garage nearby - validated by the restaurant if dining in! The location is very spacious and clean. The drinks were tasty! The crab dip was delicious but we had to order extra bread since it was a decent portion. I ordered the mussels which was also a good portion but it needed something else with the broth flavor (either additional herbs or seasoning). My friend's lobster mac & cheese was pretty flavorful and came out gooey (not clumsy and ... read more
We went for a Sunday brunch. Everything was very tasty. The service was great. Fried oyster Rockefeller was good. Redfish beignets was basically battered fish - but good. Lobster Roll very good.
