Very impressed with this community so far! The value is comprable to everything else I've seen out there. I've eaten there a few times, and there was nothing wrong with the food. I wouldn't say they're very diabetic friendly, but the meals are fine. One thing I like is that there is a a doctor on call! If we need anything, we can always use them. I couldn't be happier with this facility and have nothing negative to say about it. It is beautifully decorated inside and is clean and fresh, the building layout is easy to navigate, the facility is located in a lovely and safe residential neighborhood, but is convenient to businesses one might need to frequent for apartment supplies. Positives: Met with the director, - personable, knowledge, good facility. Level 2 care choice of size of room, Memory care on site. Skilled nursing care. Negatives: paid for skilled care not needed at this time in the room rate, Rates were daily(increase daily?)Too expensive, Services based on point system - was difficult to estimate total cost.

My experience with Walnut Creek was extremely disappointing. While some caregivers were wonderful, the administration, billing practices, and lack of compassion created constant unnecessary stress. What's very frustrating is that there is NO description on what the different levels of care provide. It's just cast in "minutes" and that's not helpful at all. Other facilities had complete descriptions of what their various care levels provide. My mom says The house keeping is immaculate". Coming from my mom, that's very high praise indeed. She really wishes newspapers were available at WC

The facility is nice. Clean. The staff friendly. The management had a high turnover rate. My sister wandered away from the facility and I found out they had no cc system to monitor who came and went from the facility and when. They had to issue a silver alert. She was missing for 3.5 hours and was found through social media.

I would want others to know that we did not have a good experience with this facility. They mis-manage medications/ do not give out medications when they are supposed to. They also do not clean residents rooms, respond to call buttons, etc. The food is almost non-existent, they miss meals, give them extremely small portions and the meals aren't nutritious. I would not moved your loved one in here.

Our family is very unhappy about this facility. Every visit there was an issue with safety, cleanliness, promptness, and responsible care for our family member. We do not recommend Walnut Creek to anyone looking to have a loved one looked after. We are moving our family member to a more professionally-run facility.
