Overall nice presentation of campground. Very clean and campsites were well maintained. We camped for 4 nights. Sharon an employee was always so friendly and sweet to all. The campground needs to build another pool. With so many campsites and only allow 33 people at the pool is crazy. If it was on the website about only 33 people on the pool deck at a time I would have booked another campground with a bigger pool. Worst place ever. My friend was assaulted by another RV attendant ( we were tent camping and they were blaring music/being overly loud at 12 midnight. My friend went over to ask to turn down the music and they escalated the situation to assaulting not only my male friend but also his girlfriend!). Lake County Sheriffs were called and the Wekiva falls security apologized to them! Are you kidding me?! Staff is very rude and unhelpful along with the hired lake county sheriff they watch people drink and drive and do not stop them and tell us cuz they had 2 stop for us wont let u take a car just to pick up your family and supplies even when there told they could follow and the tram doesnt go far and u park a long ways away so long walk and lots of things to cary esp when its very hot outside. Can't drive your vehicle back to drop or pick up stuff, staff was rude at end of day when even asked if could, can't camp along stream any longer either, seems like a lot of new rules and def won't be going back.
I have been going here for canoeing and fun family time for the past 20 years and yesterday was extremely let down. We drove over from Brevard for an afternoon canoe ride. Paid my $16 at 2:45 and was made aware canoe rentals stopped at 3. Ok, no problem. Drive down to rent our canoe and was told it's too close to 3. Ok, fine. 2:51, go back to gate to get our $16 back. No go. They call and tell them to rent us a canoe but at this point I'm frustrated. Just give me my $16 and I'll go over to the state park side. And they ref... read more
My grandson loved it but the Sulphur smell was a bit overwhelming.
The sulphur smell was a little overwhelming...Nice park though. A little pricey in my opinion. But, that's just my opinion.
