Make you walk a mile from where you park to the water
Park was fine, staff was fine. Christmas in July event was......canceled. And they didn't tell anyone. Even confirmed with a employee this morning. Yep 730pm. Doors locked nobody home. My kids were looking forward to it. So yeah if you want to come do your own thing it's great. Apparently I wouldn't plan anything around their event calendar.
The rotten egg stench was too intense, probably made worse by the mold & lime-scale coated "falls" feature. Sadly there is a lot of trash floating in the "natural" spring. I did not like the loud, corny DJ & I did not appreciate all the smokers swarming this place, either. Not a place to go & relax & enjoy nature. Didn't seem like a family friendly place with all the smoking & day drinking. If you do not mind all of these things, then go ahead & visit at your own risk. I really enjoy coming here with my family and friends, we always have a good time. The continued price hikes are getting ridiculous though. Yes Wekiva does offer some more then the other springs ie the dj and I do like being allowed to relax and have a few beers, but $24.00 to get in after all that most people spend to go anyhow, with gas and food is too much if you ask me. I miss being able to park at the picnic area, which of course makes everything so much easier. People don't like having to leave wallets or money unwatch... read more
HATED IT!..haven't been in a while so we went 5 families. we went for fathers day fun.., pricing is 25.00 for a family of 3 to get in..NO REFUNDS Which they tell but forget to mention that you have to park in a field and walk in, carting all your stuff.. to hopefully find a spot, (mind you) the campers have already put their things on tables and so your left to find something if at all...NO more zip line/ canoe rental.. 7.50 a person, no more fun there.
