With my church I travel up and down the state. As I've gotten older I see that many of the members of our congregation frequent nursing homes. One of our church members picked Westview for rehabilitation after they fell in Grass Valley. I visited on a Sunday. The place was clean and quiet. I was pleased to see that she had her own room. My Dad recently was at another facility, and they did a great job helping him. But it reminded me of when my Dad had gone to Westview earlier after a knee replacement. So I wanted to take the time to post a review for Westview too. My Dad had surgery and for the first time in his life, he had to go to a nursing home. My mom was sent here by Kaiser and it's three hours away from where we live. The communication with the facility especially social services was awful. Also, some of the staff have a very bad attitude. Not the kind of place that feels like a safe spot for an elderly person. My mom's roommate never left her bed, and none of the CNA's ever helped her do anything she just laid there watching a huge TV at full volume 24/7. If I could give negative stars, I would. I strongly advise all families to avoid this establishment. If you have a loved one here, please be present enough to ensure they're receiving the proper care. If possible, consider moving them to a different facility. Westview Healthcare Center should be shut down. If not, it desperately needs to be re-staffed, renovated, and overseen more closely by ownership and management. Westview Healthcare Center Is the worst place ever if you love your family member and want them to recover or have some quality of life this is not the place . They have more patients visit the emergency room than any other facility in the area. My family member was in emergency after 4 days being there and is in critical condition now. It's not a care facility . They make you give a star that they don't deserve

My brother has been a Westview for almost two weeks, and they put him in a room with no phone. He does not have a cell phone. I have tried to call there almost daily to get an update on how he is, but no one ever answers the phone. I did manage to get a nurse who could not tell me anything about his condition or if he still is testing positive for Covid. He is elderly and I know he feels abandoned. I am also elderly and have no ability to drive there, so the phone is the only way I have to get in touch with him. This i... read more

My brother got transferred here while he was on hospice until we could get him setup for hospice at my house. The nurses were all very nice, and the care they provide is adequate, but where this facility falls short is the number of nurses per patient and just the overall atmosphere of the place. The lobby is open and airy, but as soon as you go back into the hallways the place seems very institutional. I've been trying for 10 days to reach my father. The phone was answered by a receptionist a total of 2x in the dozens of times I've been calling. When they did answer, they transferred me to his nurses' station #3, and they NEVER answered. Just heard 2nd hand that Dad died today. I never got to speak with him. CRUEL! How can you do this to these people. Our tax dollars go to this!? CRIMINAL!
