After waiting no more than 5 minutes for our reservation, we were shown to our table – a very nice table by the window. The seats were comfortable, but not all seats in the restaurant were. We had the BUTTER SEARED CHILEAN SEABASS, which was quite good, BRISKET & TRI TIP BOLOGNESE, which was stringy and chewy and contained very little pasta and BEURRE BLANC SALMON, which was horribly overcooked and the kitchen forgot the beurre blanc and the pommes Anna that are supposed to come with it. I had such high hopes for this restaurant. I’ve been to several other Vanderpump locations and always found them to be great. Wolf was just not quite there. The bright spot was their sommelier. The wine list was not as extensive as I would have thought for the price point. Several servers had dirty uniforms on. While our server was very sweet, the service was disconnected and didn’t flow. To start off with my reservation was at 8 PM. Didn’t get to sit down till 845-ish. Our server was very nice. She always had a smile on her face and presented her herself well. We ordered the famous goat cheeseballs , which were absolutely delicious. And pull apart bread with two varieties of butter, which was OK nothing to brag about. Horrible experience wanted sweet ice tea and got regular ice tea had to argue with the waiter that we had regular ice tea then he finally came back and said that we were right Had the cobbler for dessert and the topping was literally burnt and looked black it tasted like charcoal could not even eat it if I recall I was charged for it Simply not a great experience and we were celebrating my nieces birthday so made it embarrassing for me since I choose your restaurant
3 stars is generous. I would say more like 2.5. The 2.5 goes towards the ambiance. It’s a beautiful restaurant. That’s where the fun ended for us. Service was terrible. It was so slow that our food came before our drinks. The goat cheese balls tasted like cream cheese. No sign of goat cheese. We ordered the beet salad with dressing on the side. We'll start with the good. The ambiance is awesome, from the decor of the restaurant to the views out the windows, 5 stars for sure. The staff were very friendly and attentive, maybe too attentive. On 3 occasions someone (different staff) tried to clear our silverware (including brand new knives delivered to us specifically for upcoming entrees) from the table thinking we were done, but we had not had not eaten yet. Had a reservation at 8:30 and didn’t get seated until around 9:30. Our bar drinks took 20 minutes and the service overall wasn’t great. The service was horrible and forgot to get all of the items we asked her for (3). Would not go back
We ordered a bottle of champagne and the server brought it out and poured it. The wine was HOT. Not kinda of warm but hot. They didn’t have any other champagnes from the wine list cold which is wild, other than Moet which was sweet and not what we wanted to drink. Just seemed very novice and not great.
Waiter was absolutely garbage. No personality. Took our drink order and screwed it up. Took our food order. Made no suggestions. Brought us the check. That was all we saw of him. So bad I was going to tell a manger but decided to just ignore it.
