Woodlands provided excellent care to a family friend for many years. The staff we met were extremely kind and seemed to look after all the residents with great diligence and compassion.

I visited my sister at Woodlands House Care and Nursing Home today. We drove up from the south coast . From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were amazing. They were friendly caring and professional. They know the residents well and really engage with them and are passionate about caring for all of them. If your loved one has dementia, I really would NOT recommend this place because not one member of staff are trained on how to deal with the challenging behaviour this condition can bring - staff mentioned this on more than one occasion! I was very disappointed with the care my dad received in the 5 months he was there. Prior to him moving in, we told them about his condition and his challenging behaviour and we were assured this would be fine but clearly this was not the case. DO NOT TOUCH THIS PLACE! Initially we were taken in by the look and feel of this place. Modern, light and airy rooms. Staff seemed friendly. Do NOT be fooled by this! Most staff were unhelpful, lazy and rude. No attempt was made to alter medication as needed (Mum was kept on 4 sachets of laxative daily), even though she clearly didn't need it. Excellent staff and day centre . My mum has been attending this centre for the last 18 months . Plenty of activities to do there including themed events . Great deal of choice of the food menu and the staff cannot be faulted . They are so friendly and accommodating I would highly recommend this centre .
