Average veterinary care but overpriced. Vets will push excess medication on you and young receptionist is rude.

I've had my pets at Woodmoor clinic for years. The staff was always friendly both towards customers and especially pets. Recently most of the staff have been replaced especially the former very animal friendly veterinarian The current Veterinarian is efficient but cold and un-personable, no more small town friendly veterinary feel and other than one assistant, most seem unfamiliar with animals. Either that or they have been hardened by society and don't really care about animals other than the pay check they provide. Ensure ... read more

This place has become terrible. After this last experience, I will not be taking my animals here anymore. I waited over 40 minutes past my appointment time to be seen by the vet. More dogs kept coming in and my dog was getting more anxious. The receptionist lady refused to put me into a room stating the policy changed and that was not longer her job to do so. Finally, after the 40 minutes then the nurse finally comes and gets me. She was very impersonal and I think she was drinking on the job. Her breath smelled of alcohol, ... read more

WORST CARE EVER! Took my dog here twice....once for an eye injury and for routine follow up and vaccinations. Would not let me go back with my dog! My dog did not like them...animals know who the compassionate caregivers are. OVERCHARGE....charged me a disposal fee for the needles used in the vaccinations and blood draw.....REALLY! I have been in human healthcare for 35 yrs and NEVER charged for this....when the receptionist was asked about this fee, she was RUDE and CONDESENDING, stated this is COMMON PRACTICE in th... read more

BEWARE OF THIS VET! Took cat in for routine allergy related visit. Out of the blue, vet said she needed dental surgery and gave me an estimate for $900. In shock, I got two additional opinions from two reputable vets (no charge). Both said there is ZERO indication the cat has ANY dental problems whatsoever! I WAS IN SHOCK! The two honest vets then BOTH informed me that they disagree with the so-called 'treatment' she received here re: vaccinations and steroid injections. So not only did they try to perform an unnecess... read more

I've never taken any of my pets to this vet. All I can say Is that they have kennels in the back of their building and I was in the parking lot next door. A female was out in the kennel area and started screaming at one of the dogs and the proceeded to mishandle and either hit or grab the dog very roughly causing the dog to yelp. I'm not sure about how the vets are in this facility but judging on the other reviews it looks like they need to review and fire some of their vet techs.

Anything pertaining to doctors is excessively expensive. Opportunistic billing practices. I had my two dogs boarded for a two week period and upon checkout both had received a doctor's exam and treatment for diarrhea. The boarding staff told me the entire kennel had stress diarrhea after the arrival of a "high powered" dog for boarding. Occupancy was full. Quite the windfall for the doctors!!!!! I have moved my patronage to another doctor and facility.

I feel unfortunate that I have to leave this review due to 2 unpleasant experiences at Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital. We've had our 2 dogs seen by Dr. Baker and Dr. Curtis since moving to Colorado 2 years ago and they have both been very informative and made good effort in diagnosing our dogs. The receptionist have always welcoming and friendly too. However, in two of our recent visits, we had terrible experiences with one of the nurses, Amy. She seems to be very rough in handling our dogs, once causing our dog's incision... read more

My husband and I are new to the area and have used Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital for our 2 dogs for lodging and vet services. Our dog had become ill and had large amounts of blood in his stool. I took our dog in to be evaluated and at the desk they asked if I brought a stool sample, I stated "no, it was all blood". I went to the back and was again asked and gave the same response. I then saw the doctor, who explained to me that this was normal for dogs to get blood in stool with diarrhea, I again explained it was a lot and wa... read more
