LOVE IT ESPECIALLY COMPARED TO THE KREEPY KRAWLY We have had at least 2 Kreepy Krawlies in the past which did a decent job of keeping the pool clean. However, they regularly got stuck on our pool steps. Nothing we tried, including positioning a bucket with a rock in it, in an attempt to keep them away from our steps worked. Since the pool is gunite, the Kreepy Krawly would wear where it rubbed against the pool. Can be used on ABOVE ground swimming pools! We have an above ground swimming pool and as I went to use our normal manual vacuum I realized it broke so I needed a new one asap. I couldn't find a automatic pool vacuum that was fairly inexpensive and one that could also be used for above ground swimming pools. Fun to watch "him" work (and me to sit) The "common area" trees have grown tall and are dropping tons of leaves and seeds into my pool. The neighborhood association won't cut them back so I needed another solution to spending a couple hours each day working on the pool.I ordered this and when it arrived I dropped it into a somewhat dirty pool. So far, so good (updated 3 years) 4 stars so far. Replaced a Polaris ATV that went after 6 years. Thought about buying the rebuild kit, but at the same price, I figured to give it a try. Since I'm familiar with suction side cleaners, setting up was a snap. Got it running within 10 minutes and within 1 day, my pool was clean. Seems to not get stuck because it spins around. I like that. It's wider than the Polaris so it has no problem on the drains. It will climb the walls if you set the suction high enough.My only complaint i... read more
Works great but doesn't last Waited a week to post a review because I wanted to see how this thing would run. My first impression was WOW. This thing is great. After a few days its shown some weaknesses, but they are fairly minor. For starters, this is WAY better than the Hayward ultra vac. I have owned 3 of those and all I can say, is avoid them like the plague. My most recent machine was a Polaris ATV F7. It lasted 4 1/2 years with NO issues. Loved it. Gets stuck easy The media could not be loaded. If you have tile on the edge of steps or list gets stuck and won’t move. I am very unhappy with this expensive purchase.
Could not get MX6 to work I bought my first MX6 in 2021 and thought I knew what I was getting when I bought it again in late 2025. However, the quality of the new MX6 has deteriorated and I could not make it work. When spinning it by hand there is so much friction that the suction of my pool pump is not able to overcome it and get the tracks to rotate. always stuck suck on the drain every morning. Cant go past the drain without being permastuck.
Disappointing Had for 4 months. It does not clean consistently, does more spinning than anything and get stuck way to easy. Would not buy
