So far so good I live in South Florida and I do not have a screen enclosure over my pool. Lots of dead bugs and grass clippings settle on the bottom. Just got the MX 6 and it’s working great. Had to play with the suction so that the unit will not climb to the top of the walls, where it sucks in air. It just takes a tiny bump on the valve to get it to climb all the way up. My pool is 15x30 and cleaned most of it in a couple of hours. Would be nice if there was a sensor that detected air before the unit surfaced too far on the... read more
A great automatic swimming pool cleaner for a reasonable price. I have had the Zodiac MX6 swimming pool cleaner for two years now and I am very pleased with it. It is still running every day. There are pool cleaners that cost hundreds of dollars more, but this one works quite well. It works off of the suction of the main swimming pool pump, so does not require any other power source, and it runs all day, as long as the pump is running. Very happy with this vacuum after trying several other options. Had this vacuum for about 6 months now and have been extremely happy with it. I needed to replace an older cleaner and thought that some of the battery operated cleaners would be good. After trying out two of these battery operated vacuums I returned them and bought this one. 1 YEAR UPDATE: A product that works!Great Pool Cleaning Machine The pool cleaner cleans the entire pool including walls. (no steps) Steps are in general too shallow.The product is amazing. Make sue you follow the instructions 100%. The hoses are in sections and easy to connect. USE LESS THAN MORE. The setting of the wheel rotation is a bit cumbersome. Great quality but had to return This little guy really flies around the pool and it sucks up everything it drives over. Unfortunately I had an issue where this thing would come out of the water and get stuck up there (letting in tons of air into the pump) which means the next time the pump kicked on, this thing wouldn't move. Better than I expected I have been using a Pentair vacuum for the last 10 years. I got tired of paying $$ for expensive repair parts. Decided to try the Zodiac. I have been using it for 3 weeks and it is amazing. Works so much better than the Pentair.When vacuuming the sides it gently gets to the water surface and doesn’t try to climb out.We were able to turn down the pump speed about 10% (haven’t tried further yet) because it takes less energy to move the vacuum. Love it I have owned a pool for twenty years. I have owned other cleaners that would always get stuck in various places in my pool. Subsequently I gave up on a pool cleaner. Searched online and spoke to local pool tech. He highly recommended this cleaner. I purchased online, saved alot and happy I puchased. Not only does this not get stuck, it climbs the walls. Easy set-up but can require some pool adjustments I was about to return this for not working but after a bunch of research solved the problem. I gave this a 4-star for making this so difficult to figure out. Their website was no help. Here it is on a sand filter system: 1st: The vacuum suction will be reduced if your filters aren't clean. Great until the tire keeps popping off for no reason So I made sure to read reviews on this thing before purchase. Ive seen some that said "its great, but gets stuck in corners" and some that said "its fantastic, but the tubing isnt long enough" ...
