Better than I could have hoped for. It's replacing The Poolcleaner 2 wheel suction cleaner. Even though the Zodiac cost less, it works way better! Suction power is way better than I could have hoped for. It has suction on the side as well as the bottom. It moves like nobody's business and cleans the entire diving pool in one night. It works with different speeds of our pool and I love how the hose interconnects. It does the steps with no problem. The old cleaner could not do the steps. My New Pool Boy~ I had a hand held battery vac that would go dead on the last quarter of our 20x40 pool. I wanted something that I didn't have to worry with and after reviewing the various kinds of pool cleaners, decided the suction glide was more dependable than the robotic for us. It has done a great job of keeping the pool clean. It does a great job climbing walls, but it is unable to make the flip to go up on steps and ledges. Does great but then stops for no real reason (nothing stuck in the drive system) So I am pretty disappointed in this. I really wanted this work work well. I think it mostly does (when it works). Setup was easy, mostly plug and play, made sure your suction is high enough (10 wheel rotations in 20 seconds) then let it go. The issue is, this will just stop moving. I wanted to love this so much but it has a glaring achilles heal in palm tree threads.... I was tired of investing 100+ in new parts in my HAYWARD NAVIGATOR every new pool season and really loved the reviews of this. I even saw a review with huge leaves and rocks not being a problem. But sadly I have had this thing in the pool 2 out 4 days I have had to go over and remove a Jams on tiny 4-5 inch palm threads (stems?).
