The staff was professional and amazing. Everything was clean and well taken care of. This was the first experience I have had with renting a storage unit and it exceeded my expectations.

I fled Public Storage in Carlsbad when the prices continued to skyrocket for the storage I was using. I went to A-1 yesterday and got a new space, enjoyed the encounter with the owners who walked me through the procedure, and with the help of my helper Jesus transferred all my extraneous belongings (books, magazines, more books, more magazines) to the A-1 facility and am completely satisfied. No more exorbitant price increases for me!

Great customer service. Very accommodating. Clean and efficient, too. We made a reservation and they got right back to me when I had questions. They also had everything ready the day of our move. Wonderful.

Overall great experience. I needed to relocate for work and had to quickly transfer contents from my old unit (a different company) to a new one. I searched several companies online and was impressed by the ease of use of A-1 Self Storage's website. I was able to check their sizes, see what's available, and actually reserve a unit online! I rented a storage unit here for about two months while I was in-between homes. Tracey and Jim were fantastic to deal with from the moment I walked in to inquire about renting a unit there. They were very friendly and accommodating to my situation. I moved my belongings out of my unit and into my new home today. Everything was just as I left it. Tracey and Jim seem to always be on-site. I've rented at least one storage unit here for about two to three years now, and at times had a second storage unit as well. The staff has always been very kind and courteous each time I have been there. The last time, I brought a rental truck that appeared that the last renter had backed into a concrete structure with as I dumped all kinds of rubble onto the ground when I pulled the loading ramp out. Amazing customer service. The employees there are a wonderful help and their prices are great. Out of the several storage places in the area I've hit up they are my favorite. I highly recommend them.
I have been storing/renting at this location since Jan. 2014. Up to July, I was happy with my experience. In July I had to move into a smaller unit. I signed a contract for a 5x10 unit, but when I started to physically move my stuff into said unit, I realized it was actually a 5x8 and 4 inches; it was ACTUALLY MEASURED at 5x8 and 4 inches. When I questioned this I was told that according to their records the unit is listed as a 5x10, so the FACT that is it WAS NOT the 5x10 I signed a contract for was a non-issue for them.
