This afternoon my beagle Murphy somehow managed to lose a fight with a cactus. He had 3 quills stuck above his front paws. He wasn't allowing me to remove them. I called ABC and they said bring him over now. They assured me he would be assessed upon arrival and if he was stable then Dr Kaplan would see him as soon as she finished what ever she was doing. I started coming here for our reptiles and Dr. Martin is wonderful. He always seems to enjoy talking about our care and praises the condition of my animals. He's incredibly gentle and has wonderful bedside manner. I have had to bring a few rescue reptiles in and he was always very gentle when explaining the not-so-good prognosis. He's also even squat down to be at our eye level, which helps the experience feel more personal and like he really cares about connecting with you and your pet. Can't say enough great things about ABC vet hospital. I just recently moved my 1 year old pup here to be a permanent patient instead of her other vet that I could never get into. ABC Vet is SO responsive, reassuring, and caring. They always get my little pup in same day if she needs it, their assessments are quality, and their price is fair. I even got a call back late at night about a question I had emailed in the same morning. I feel grateful to have found ABC vet and recommend you go if you are in the San Marcos area.

Top notice service! One of the best veterinary hospitals in SD. Great friendly and caring service. Upfront pricing and reasonable fees. They never sell you what you don't need. I drive an extra 30 minutes from home just to come here.

We visit frequently with our aging pets and I have been very happy with their care. Just pack some patience because they are so good, they do tend to get very busy but it's worth the wait for my fu babies.

We had a wonderful experience with this vet hospital. All of the staff members are filled with compassion and kindness. I brought my pet here a few weeks ago and they gave us various options for treatment and absolutely no pressure when deciding which course of action to take. We appreciate their professionalism and wouldn't hesitant to use them again if needed.

I am really thankful I was referred here by friends. Despite this vet clinic being out of my zip code, I do not kind the drive to receive wonderful customer service and competent vet services. And this speaks volumes in my case because for the last two years, my pet saw a vet only 15 minutes away from me. Amazing staff and doctors!! I have a rabbit and they were extremely gentle and completed a full exam, it's not easy finding exotic vets but ABC has incredible doctors!! Highly recommend and they have flexible hours, open early and late and on the weekend which is so nice and convenient!

We have been taking our 7 yo fur baby to ABC for years now, and will never go anywhere else! I love that they are open every day of the week and I love how well they treat our pup every visit! I trust the vets and staff completely and know they will always take the best care of our boy.
