About Aborn Pet Hospital Aborn Pet Hospital was founded in 1987 by Dr. K.S. Mann and Grimmer Blvd Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1972 by Dr. Metcalfe. After many years of growth and services, Aborn Pet Hospital decided to expand its excellent services to more Tri-City clients. In 2003 Aborn Pet Hospital acquired Grimmer Blvd Veterinary Clinic and shifted clients to Aborn Pet Hospital. By combining these two hospitals we could provide a higher level of healthcare and better customer service.

I have been a Cat Mom for most of my life. I've also been a feral Cat Rescue Foster Mom for many, many years. Re-discovering Grimmer (now Aborn) Pet Hospital is THE BEST thing that has ever happened for me and the health of my cats.
I have a cat that had a chronic mouth inflammation. I'd been to countless Vets trying to clear it up and spent tons of $$$$. Nothing ever worked, it just kept coming back, we both suffered and I felt horrible! So I figured what the heck, I've tried everyone else, so I made an appointment with Dr. Mann and the VERY first time he treated him, MY CAT WAS CURED!!! YAY!!! It's been a couple of years now and he's STILL inflammation free. I still almost can't believe it!!
I was sent to Aborn Pet Hospital with a voucher to have one of my foster kitties neutered. Not living on that side of town, I had forgotten about that clinic after Dr. Metcalf retired. The Staff was wonderful, warm and friendly and Dr. Mann did a terrific job.
My 15 year old cat was just diagnosed with diabetes. It did take $500 to find out why he lost so much weight but the costs were itemized and I was able to make payments over a 3 week period. I also have pet insurance (wellness plan) for my puppy which has saved us several hundred dollars. Dr. Mann is very involved with feline rescues. Every time I'm there, rescue centers are picking up or dropping off cats. There is lots of responsibility in owning a pet and when they get sick it can be costly.
We have been bringing all our pets to Dr. Mann since our vet retired and closed Grimmer Pet Hospital. Dr. Mann is great, and his staff is great. The only problem I have is the cost of treatment, but every good vet will be expensive if tests need to be done. They will also work with you if you cannot afford all the tests.
Dr. Mann is the best in the East Bay. If you love your pet and care about its wellbeing you will bring them to see Dr. Mann. He’s cared for all my babies for many great yrs.
We have been coming here for many months and continue to do so because of the great service!
Susan was really nice to me while I took my dog in the office very nice staff. I would recommend to any one.
