Above and Beyond Animal Care was established in 2009 by Dr. Jen Powers Maples. After working in the Redding area for 14 years, Dr. Jen decided to create her own clinic to provide family orientated healthcare to companion animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and camelids. The clinic is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, small animal surgical and dental suites, equine dental stocks, equine lameness evaluation equipment and areas, hospitalization, and ICU facilities for small and equine patients.

RecommendedI am a volunteer staff and board member at Pistols Rescue Ranch, a dog rescue and training center in Montague. Last month, there was a horrifying accident involving the owner/operators personal dog, Spur. He was very badly injured and only had use of 2 of his legs. He cried so much, my heart was broken. alk about "Above & Beyond"!!! Meet Spur- My 6 yr. old chi x yorki mix who almost died in February 2022 from a dog attack. He 's my first "little dog", my little bf, my to-go buddy, my everything, my heart dog. Yes, I dress him in sweaters, bow-ties and I'm not proud. After being treated very poorly by another veterinarian, we asked around and above and beyond was highly recommended by my friends. We arrived and the veterinarian Kayla listened to my concerns and was able to diagnose my horse. They were also very patient with my fearful boy. They are also reasonably priced. Big thanks to the team for helping my best friend ❤
They are wonderful there. Every experience with them has been positive. They work with any issues like my dog is dog aggressive so they come to the car or we go outside and have the appt so she isn’t under any stress. They always explain everything and have been there whenever needed. Even had to call the emergency number and they were great! Always recommend them! They just genuinely care about your pet. Thank you ladies for all the hard work you do!
Really caring for your fur baby. They take the time to get to know you and ur pet as well as give them the best possible care at a affordable price. CoCo has to get 4 extractions and everywhere wanted triple the price of what she did. Highly recommend Above and Beyond for anyone who truly loves their pets and wants the best possible love and care for them.
I recommend tis animal hospital 100%!!!! I do not know what I would do without them!!! Thank you to all staff and the vets for caring for ALL my animals.
