Above and Beyond Animal Care was established in 2009 by Dr. Jen Powers Maples. After working in the Redding area for 14 years, Dr. Jen decided to create her own clinic to provide family orientated healthcare to companion animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and camelids. The clinic is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, small animal surgical and dental suites, equine dental stocks, equine lameness evaluation equipment and areas, hospitalization, and ICU facilities for small and equine patients.

Love Dr. Jen and her awesome staff! They have always been so friendly and concerned with their patients' health. We feel so lucky to have had them in our animals' lives and our lives. We are starting a new chapter in our lives and moving out of state. We will miss Dr. Jen and her staff immensely! Dr. Jen is not only our vet, we have been with her so long, she is a friend also.
All the staff at above and beyond are like family you will recieve the most heartfelt , loving care of your fur friend. Highly recommend them
The staff is amazing and their pricing is great! I had my stud dogs hips and elbows done here and they were awesome with him! They will do them with no sedation too which is awesome!
I LOVE Jen Powers and her wonderful staff!!! They are kind and caring. Everyone is friendly. Jen is an awesome vet! My mother was a nurse and always highly respected Jen! I now know why!!!
The staff are so amazing and my dogs feel so loved there. Dr. Jen is amazing. We had to put our sweet Zoey down this morning, and while so very sad, they all loved on her before, and they treated us with such grace and support during our time there. I know that my girl was treated humanely and with the utmost respect even after she passed. We love Dr. Jen and the whole staff!
