Above and Beyond Animal Care was established in 2009 by Dr. Jen Powers Maples. After working in the Redding area for 14 years, Dr. Jen decided to create her own clinic to provide family orientated healthcare to companion animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and camelids. The clinic is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, small animal surgical and dental suites, equine dental stocks, equine lameness evaluation equipment and areas, hospitalization, and ICU facilities for small and equine patients.

Thank you thank you thank you Dr Jen and staff! Our dog was able to get her yucky (and I mean yucky) cyst removed, she was treated very well and the price was very reasonable. Your office made it possible for us to take care of our sweet girl as well as not break the bank and still take care of the WHOLE family to which our pup is a part of. Thank you greatly!!!

Had our 9 year old Mare in for shots and teeth floating . Did a great job and got an education at the same time . Place is first class and cleanliness gets a 5 star
So this week has been a test of my faith...on Monday, Steve and I returned home after a few hours shopping to find that our sweet 16 week old puppy had reached up on the Bathroom counter and bit through the tooth paste and Steve’s skin cancer med Efudex/5 FU and Xylitol in toothpaste which is deadly to dogs when taken in even small amounts orally. Cat got into it with a rattlesnake. They fit him in as soon as they could and were quick, professional, and communicative with me the entire time they patched him up. Highly recommend them for pet care.
