Above and Beyond Animal Care was established in 2009 by Dr. Jen Powers Maples. After working in the Redding area for 14 years, Dr. Jen decided to create her own clinic to provide family orientated healthcare to companion animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and camelids. The clinic is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, small animal surgical and dental suites, equine dental stocks, equine lameness evaluation equipment and areas, hospitalization, and ICU facilities for small and equine patients.

RecommendedWe have been bringing our animals here since this establishment has opened. I can’t express how much I love what they have done for our cherished pets. We have had emergency C-sec, tooth extraction, and even one dear Pug who needed euthanasia. We’ve been very pleased with all services.
see both my Agate Aubree Linebarger, yorkie 6 and Beefee (Beefcake) Buck Linebarger Morkie, Maltese and Yorkie. Beefee just went through all his teeth having to be removed, Saliva Gland and even his right Jugular being removed. The Care is remarkable. The care taken with our boy. we are so very grateful! My mama, brings her Sugar, friends and even oldest son brings his Lucy. Highly recommended.
Wonderful dogtors and very helpful staff. Dogtor Kayla was very kind, knowledgeable and took great care of my girl Ceri and her babies.
Dr. Jen and crew have taken care of our little old man for years now and with the acupuncture and chiropractic work he is still waggin that tail of his. They even regularly ask about our other two who don’t need all the attention Jaxson does! They care about the animals and the families. We’ll stay with them as long as they’ll have us.

5 stars and more! I wouldn't trust any other vet with my animals! Dr. jenn is amazing as well as her hole staff! I bring my horses and my dogs and always come out with answers for problems and always come out happy! Thank you girls love you all!

We are beyond impressed and happy with Dr. Jen and staff. We’ve been to 3 other vets in Redding over 2 years and were so frustrated. They spent soooooo much time, and we left wishing we had known about this place from the beginning. I can never thank them enough and I’m sure we will have a much happier dog!
Dr Jenn and her team are absolutely amazing. She literally saved my little Rocky dog's life this past December. They've cared so well for him and Kitty Boo! I've been with her for 8 years; I highly recommend the practice for both large and small animals!
