Infection control nightmare, subpar dentist. (I worked at Brigham and Women’s as an infection control monitor for chief epidemiologist). Subpar is a nice word for her. Immediately refused to fill a cavity for my daughter and referred us out to Denver. Tech said “now it’s time to go bother the dentist” and oh boy did she turn down the temperature in the whole room. The techs were wonderful but obviously intimidated and aware of the dentist. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend
My children had an appointment at 5PM today. I scheduled to take time off work. I received a text stating their appointment was today at 5PM. I spoke to a live person earlier in the week to confirm the appointment. We showed up for the appointment and they gave someone else the appointment because it was not confirmed even those we spoke to someone. The receptionists were not friendly, we waited 40 minutes past our appointment time because they were already that backed up at 9am (or maybe they forgot about us), and then we finally got called back and the dentist held my 1 year old son’s head down while assuring me it was normal for him to cry. I think the goal of a child’s first dentist appointment should be introducing them to the concept of a non-traumatizing dentist visit, but these people were prepared to hold my son’s head down while he was screaming so that they c... read more
