George and his team assisted us in sound proofing a basement bedroom. While this was not a normal job for their company, George took the time to research different ideas and products to make sure we did the job right. We had Nick lead the actual project and he was here with us from the beginning to the end. As soon as the team dropped the ceiling they immediately alerted us to some electrical problems that we needed to be fixed. They also identified a broken dryer vent pipe. ; The technician determined the configuration of my house would not permit an effective insulation job; the attic ceiling is too low for access. He offered a refund (which I turned down) on the cost of the Angie's List Deal. Evaluated my attic for blown in insulation.
The Big Deal was a good deal, so I ordered it. The company was responsive and did a good job assessing my situation. the proivided a good recommendation to improve the insulation in my fourth floor. However, the cost to do the job was more expensive than I anticipated and decided to just live with the current situation. I would contact Adelphia again if I our situation changes or I have another need for their services. .
Adelphia initially won this job because they were the only contractor I asked for quotes from that didn't miss appointments, but I'm very glad I went with them based on the quality of the finished job as well. They had a very competitive cost and the work was done well. The job was well cleaned up, no mess or damage of any kind. Adelphia exteriors came out to give us an estimate on a roof replacement. After getting a few estimates we decided to move forward with adelphia. The quote was very competitive and the quality of the install was excellent. They were on time for both installs and did a great job and cleaned up very well. Representatives from Adelphia Exteriors were walking door to door in our neighborhood advertising their business and offering free estimates. Usually, I wouldn't be interested, but in reviewing them on Angie's List, they had gotten excellent reviews. We made an appointment and they quoted a price for the job. I called the company to get an estimate for installing insulation in my attic. Two representatives came to my house and looked at the attic. They said that it would be a difficult job because there is such limited space between the attic floor and ceiling, which doesn't provide enough space for someone to go in there. They said that they needed to consult with others in their company and would send me an email with their proposal and an estimate. It's been two weeks and I'm still waiting. George Koutsis came to estimate attic insulation for my townhouse. His initial bid was $1,386 for bringing my attic insulation (700 sq ft) to R-49 (effectiveness of amount of insulation to be installed). He gave an excellent presentation. I asked if I could get both the Angie's List discount and the senior citizens' discount and he said no but then worked his price down by both of those anyway (totaling 15% off).
