Obviously it can be super stressful to have to take your animal to the vet for any reason. Mostly because, despite all my prayers, my dogs STILL won't communicate in English with me. But I have always found this place to be quick, professional, friendly, and happy to see my canine children. They communicate quickly by phone throughout the day if there is a procedure to be done, and genuinely seem to love my pups (I mean who wouldn't they are angels on earth but still). Convenient location. I am a fan.

We've been bringing our little pittie, Leia, here for about 2 years and we love them! I guess some animals hate the vet, but this girl's tail won't stop wagging when we drive up because she's so excited to see all her staff friends! They seem like they know how to handle her and keep her calm, unlike some places that act like they've never interacted with an anxious pup before... This is probably the 3rd or 4th vet we tried before one stuck... the atmosphere at Alamo Animal Hospital is so comforting... to the point that we ... read more

I regret not taking my sweet Snowflake here sooner. I didn't know about Alamo Animal Hospital and how great they are. It was always my intent to let my cat live out her last years naturally, proper diet, lots of love...but in the end she was suffering. It happened fast. Her breathing became rapid, she would look at me and I would comfort her but when she lost the use of her hind legs I went into sheer panic. Even with her debilitation, she used her front paws to pull herself across the floor to her litter box so she wou... read more

I recently moved here and needed a place to bring our puppy. I love it here they take great care of us and all of our needs. Easy to get in and they are personable. Love them all and love that they remember our names. I would recommend to anyone looking for a vet!

SO glad we found this animal hospital. We've taken our pets here for years, through ups and downs. The DVMs have been excellent as well as supportive. When we had to put our darling Maine Coon down, Dr. Lee was the kindest, most compassionate vet possible. The practice even sent a donation for research in his name. When we got new kitties from a shelter, I was happy to have such a great place to turn to for their care. It was fun to share the new "kids" with the vets. That's the kind of relationship you want!

The doctors and staff at Alamo Pet Hospital really care about their animal clients. We have taken all of our pets there for several years...cats, guinea pigs and now a dog. They take the time needed to give the pet the extra attention and we have never had to wait for then just a few minutes to be seen. I would highly recommend them!

Alamo Animal Hospital is great. Took our Beagle there for almost 12 years for great care and service. She got very suddenly ill and without an appointment Dr. Mangold met me during his lunch break to help us. He was so full of compassion for our family after she passed away very suddenly and didn't charge us for many of the things he could have charged us for. Then I ran into him at the supermarket a week or so later and he continued to ask how my family was doing. Very compassionate! Now we have a new puppy and I will... read more

I had not been to Alamo Animal Hospital for a number of years, until yesterday. I brought my ten year old female dog in with a rather serious, but unknown condition. Dr. Barrett was able to diagnose my dog within a matter of seconds after examining her, and confirmed the diagnosis with tests. She thoroughly explained the procedures to me, and I felt completely at ease and comfortable leaving my dog at the hospital for tests. I received two phone calls, one from the doctor, updating me and assuring me that my pet was we... read more

We have used Alamo Animal Hospital for the past two years. The doctors and staff have always been professional and eager to help us with any of our pets' health issues along the way. However, recently, our miniature dachshund puppy developed a life threatening case of pneumonia in addition to a bad infection in his neuter incision that was done poorly at the Stockton shelter just before we adopted him from there. Our miniature dachshund quickly became listless and extremely sick. He refused to eat, rapidly lost weight, d... read more
