Couldnt ever find waiter for drinks. Busser cleared oysters that weren’t eaten. Warm martini. Dirty trays and glasses at service bar next to new drinks. Out of cheese wheel. Plenty of delicious options in little Italy and will not return.
Allegro has a very cool atmosphere, nice ambience, and our server was incredible. Very friendly and attentive. The food was awful. It arrived cold, lacked taste, and the cut of meat wasn’t great quality. It was definitely overpriced. We were even charged several dollars more than the price on the menu and we were told it was a “computer error”. The bathroom sink in the women’s restroom was overflowing and clogged. Overall I did not enjoy my dinner and don’t intend in returning.
Staff just needs better training. Food an drink timing was awful. Steak came out first. 15 min later mashed potatoes came out. I had to walk an pick up my drinks from bar from delay. Food was not impressive for price that came along.

Had an early dinner reservation through their online website. Arrived only to not be received - apparently, they just opened and were clearly not ready for anyone - never have I seen such confusion! This is a newly opened restaurant [1 week] we were anxious to give them a try... We we very unsettled in eating there and walked out!! Get your act together prior to receiving customers! 🙃😡
We are not going back
The positive- nice ambiance, very good lemon dessert. We understand this is a new restaurant, however there were a number of problems. 1. Menu advertised, not the menu when we arrived, very limited with zero flexibility. 2. Timing of items out of the kitchen was extremely rushed. 3. Food- Zucchini appetizer was soggy and flavorless, the Pistachio Pesto was also flavorless, UNLESS you count the insane amount of red pepper flakes (which were not in the description). 4. Went there on valentines, wasn’t expecting a small fixed menu for that day but it is what it is. The food was good but a little expensive for what it is and it wasn’t anything special that I can’t make at home. Paid $160.00 plus a 20% tip for a plate of pasta with 2 pieces of shredded shrimp, a plate of salmon with mash potatoes, 3 pieces jumbo shrimp as an appetizer and 2 drinks.
