adding on to current patio or replacing

Business response:

[Member Name Removed], Thank you for your feedback. While not the experience we desire for anyone to have, we always want to work diligently to resolve any issues and make the situation right. Since the time of your review, we hope our efforts at connection have shown this to be true. Not only this, if given the opportunity in the future, we look forward to helping you build the outdoor living project that you desire. One that we are confident you can be proud of for many years to come. Thank you, Allied Outdoor Solutions

Very high pressure sales tactic! Felt like buying my first car back in the 80's. Agent arrive at 5:30pm just before dark and immediately attempted to offer other products they offer. This was followed by reviewing a Webster dictionary sized book of previous projects and a short video while he did the measurements in the dark. Criticized my current pool area and yard area. Estimated $10-11 per square foot which was the highest of the 4 obtained.

Business response:

Hi AJ, Customer satisfaction is very important to us. While we complete over 2,000 projects per year, every interaction is important regardless of if they are a client or just a neighbor waving across the street. We do our very best to show up on time and understand our clients needs during our consultations. Understanding needs, many times means we will offer more than one solution to ensure our clients fully understand all of their options and that they are best informed when they make a decision because we know our projec... read more

I could not have been more disappointed in the way this job was handled. I spent over $50,000 on this project and it took from October to January to finish. Allied had to come back and redo or fix nearly everything they did. Substandard work ,substandard materials, what they quoted was not the work they did. See pics The jobsite was sloppy, they left a box trash on my back patio, tiles everywhere, it was a complete mess from start to finish. The supplier they use for the coping around the pool had one color of coping in the ... read more

Mr. [Member Name Removed], While we are not perfect nor claim to be, it is unfortunate that your project took the time that it did. We ought to have set better expectations during the stone selections process and failed to do that. As we’ve said to you, we are sorry for that. This miscommunication muddied our relationship throughout the rest of the project. We attempted to rectify this miscommunication repeatedly throughout the construction of your project. The items that you’ve mentioned in your post have all been attended ... read more

We paid $4380. downpayment in July. I prepared the backyard by having existing deck removed, trees trimmed, sprinklers moved and plants taken out. Company would not communicate schedule for work. Calls not returned. Finally got a call Dec. 13, someone new came out and decided the job would cost more money. It is my impressions they are not communicating, hoping we will just hire someone else now. We have an investment of 6 months time, thoughts, money and decisions and would like to have the work done at the rate agreed upon... read more

Business response:

We are sorry for your frustration. When our consultant originally came out they had suggested a type of hardscape that in most cases is seemless to install. Even in ideal situations we normally carry a backlog of work which delays us from starting any project immediately after agreeing to the scope of work. From the time of sale to commencement of work we always assign a project manager to our clients project. They are in charge of handling the scope and install of work but more importantly the customer expectations and expe... read more

Run, don't walk, in any direction that takes you away from Allied Outdoor Solutions. I sure wish I had read the reviews here before having them resurface our fading cooldeck, coping, and retaining walls. From the first missed appointment by the sales manager, the entire experience has been horrendous. Like many others have noted, they are masters of over-promising and under-delivering. The original design we chose was changed on the recommendation of the installation manager since he said we would have issues with it (seems ... read more

Business response:

Mr. [Member Name Removed], Reading through this was incredibly disappointing. We desire for each of our customers to know and understand the pros or cons of any installation, whether we're installing natural stone or overlaying with Carvestone. It certainly sounds like we did not put our best foot forward here. I'd love to help here so please feel free to contact me directly at 214-770-0205. Chad Turner Director of Project Management

I would not recommend Allied Outdoor Solutions for concrete work at your home. The first time the patio was poured, the concrete chipped and disintegrated and had to be torn out and repoured. Allied offers only a one year warranty on its projects. We paid Allied over $7,000 for work and are out of warranty by less than one year and they will not stand behind their workmanship and product by repairing the chipped paint areas by the entry backdoor. Our roof covered stamped concrete patio is peeling paint and although Allied ac... read more

Business response:

Mr. and Mrs. [Member Name Removed], As we discussed, we'd be more than happy to repair those areas for you. However, the particular problem you're experiencing will continue to occur. Rather than to reiterate the process, we offered a better solution at a considerable discount. We offered the discount despite the fact that you're more than a year out of warranty. You are more than welcome to reach out to if you'd like to move forward with either option.

Patio Nightmare Beware of doing business with Allied Outdoor Solutions DBA Carvestone I had a really bad experience. On March 9th, 2019 contract was signed to remove tile from patio and redo with Carvestone overlay with an estimated 6-8 weeks completion date. After over 1 month and no scheduling call, the company was called and finally at the end of April a crew was sent out to demo the tile from the patio. Once demolition had been partially completed, leaving the tile mastic with trowel lines, the company then said it would... read more

To be honest, I was severely disappointed with the service Allied provided me. While the end product (stamped concrete slab) met my expectations, I had multiple issues with the project both before and during construction. I went with this company because they had stellar reviews, and seemed to take special pride in their customer service scores. I was willing to pay a bit more to work with a company that would ensure I was happy with the results. But my experience was that they may claim to be focused on customer satisfactio... read more

Horrible. We first spoke with them in Dec of 2017 it is now 2/2019 and they are still not finished with the project. The patio was poured and they did a great job on that. The firepit has been absolutely horrible. they have had to replace the stone and rework several times, and we are not picky people the work has just been that bad! Despite a crazy timeline and the bad work, no discounts on price have been offered. Communication has been poor, but has gotten slightly better with our new project manager. I chose Allied for t... read more

Business response:

[Member Name Removed], We certainly do agree that this project has taken much longer to complete than we would have expected, and we apologize for that. We are happy to hear that the concrete portion of the project went smoothly, but we did have trouble getting our stone and mortar selections and installation to match your expectations. Since this review, we have reached an agreement regarding the work on this project, and we are confident that we will leave you with an outdoor space that you will be happy with for years to ... read more
