I purchased the protection plan, and so glad I did, as a diode malfunctioned and blew out, rendering the microwave 'totalled' in essence. So put in a claim to Allstate, and received a check within about a week and purchased another one. Was surprised how quick Allstate reimbursed me. Very pleased with them!
