Promised a pdf of my coverage via email. Sent a link and the coverage details were greyed out. Started reading reviews, couldn’t find one that said their claim was covered/paid. Found dozens that said they were denied coverage despite proof given by a their certified mechanic and disputed by American’s “inspector” (hack). Pathetic! Also dozens of complaints of being placed on hold for over an hour when they called in to cancel the service. Exactly what I am experiencing as I write this review waiting to cancel my agreement.

I purchased coverage for $4000 for coverage in 2026. In March 2026 a covered repair estimate was $3,100. Coverage was confirmed, the claim was denied, calls were made for clarity and approved on the phone, the claim was again denied when the dealership called for confirmation, then a 3-way conversation occured between ADAP, the dealership and myself - claim approved, a few days later the approved claim was revoked, then reinstated. DONT DO IT. horrible customer service. I even recorded interactions with them. Also. They won't easily allow you to cancel. HORRIBLE. JUST HORRIBLE
I purchased a Platinum (exclusionary) extended warranty contract, which states that all components are covered unless specifically listed as excluded. I filed a claim for a failed VANOS (camshaft) solenoid, which is part of the engine s variable valve timing system. This component is not listed in the exclusions section of the contract. I’ve decided to not share “ attack thoughts” about American Dream because I will not allow my peace of mind to be disturbed by the false advertisement that they are doing , but this is what I will share ; American Dream did not fulfill the Platinum Contract Agreement that I paid them for . I am extremely disappointed with my experience with American Dream Auto Warranty. I filed a claim recently, and instead of honoring the contract, they have been giving both me and my mechanic the runaround. They continually demand 'more diagnosis' and additional teardowns, even after the shop has identified the clear failure. It feels like a stalling tactic to avoid paying for covered repairs. This company is a SCAM!! They stole my money, months worth of payments only to say oh we don’t cover uber, lyft etc… complete garbage. When i purchased my policy, the agent didn’t mention anything. Anyway, pure garbage. Go to a reputable company. If these waste of life pos give me my money back i will change my review
Scam scam scam. They breached their contract by not covering the repairs like they stated they would after damage was done and it was not pre-existing but that's what they claim it's pre-existing which is impossible because I sent them a picture of my odometer showing that there is absolutely no check engine light on or traction light prior to these repairs that need work on so they lied they breached their contract and they don't even have the decency to call or email somebody back specifying that the appeal that was just p... read more
