I strongly warn everyone to stay away from ADAP / American Dream Auto Protect. In my personal experience, this company has been extremely unprofessional, misleading, and unreliable. They sell their warranty plans with promises of protection and peace of mind, but when a real claim happens, they create delay after delay, ask for repeated inspections, request unnecessary teardown and photos, and then look for excuses instead of honoring the contract. refer to BBB complaint 24804566. I had a issue called from the dealer, no answer at 2 PM on a Friday. I needed to know how to proceed and they never answered the phone. They said since I drove it home it was not covered. Seems it's ok to give your premium back and call it good. Your DREAMING IF YOU THINK THEY'LL PAY ANY CLAIM.
I wouldn't give them 1 star but I had to in order to leave remarks. I was told the same thing. Don't waist your time here with these bumbs. Total rip off..waiting for refund Canceled within 60 days.
I asked for a refund and someone named roger laughed and said you not getting no refund. Worst company in history or business period
If you value a fast turn around time for your claim, and a company that doesn't try to find every tiny loop hole to avoid covering the claim, stay away from them. My claim was submitted on a monday morning, I was told 24 to 48 hours to review the claim. I called several times a day, every day, each time I was fed false promises saying the claim would be sent out by end of day. Finally on day 6 I recieved the denial letter. DO NOT buy an extended warranty from this company. They denied my claim claiming that there was pre existing damages happening with my car prior to purchasing warranty. I was told by their customer service reps that although you may not notice but there was pre existing damages happening to my car......hmmmm. Promised a pdf of my coverage via email. Sent a link and the coverage details were greyed out. Started reading reviews, couldn’t find one that said their claim was covered/paid. Found dozens that said they were denied coverage despite proof given by a their certified mechanic and disputed by American’s “inspector” (hack). Pathetic! Also dozens of complaints of being placed on hold for over an hour when they called in to cancel the service. Exactly what I am experiencing as I write this review waiting to cancel my agreement.

I purchased coverage for $4000 for coverage in 2026. In March 2026 a covered repair estimate was $3,100. Coverage was confirmed, the claim was denied, calls were made for clarity and approved on the phone, the claim was again denied when the dealership called for confirmation, then a 3-way conversation occured between ADAP, the dealership and myself - claim approved, a few days later the approved claim was revoked, then reinstated.
