I purchased a Platinum (exclusionary) extended warranty contract, which states that all components are covered unless specifically listed as excluded. I filed a claim for a failed VANOS (camshaft) solenoid, which is part of the engine s variable valve timing system. This component is not listed in the exclusions section of the contract. I’ve decided to not share “ attack thoughts” about American Dream because I will not allow my peace of mind to be disturbed by the false advertisement that they are doing , but this is what I will share ; American Dream did not fulfill the Platinum Contract Agreement that I paid them for . I am extremely disappointed with my experience with American Dream Auto Warranty. I filed a claim recently, and instead of honoring the contract, they have been giving both me and my mechanic the runaround. They continually demand 'more diagnosis' and additional teardowns, even after the shop has identified the clear failure. It feels like a stalling tactic to avoid paying for covered repairs. This company is a SCAM!! They stole my money, months worth of payments only to say oh we don’t cover uber, lyft etc… complete garbage. When i purchased my policy, the agent didn’t mention anything. Anyway, pure garbage. Go to a reputable company. If these waste of life pos give me my money back i will change my review
Scam scam scam. They breached their contract by not covering the repairs like they stated they would after damage was done and it was not pre-existing but that's what they claim it's pre-existing which is impossible because I sent them a picture of my odometer showing that there is absolutely no check engine light on or traction light prior to these repairs that need work on so they lied they breached their contract and they don't even have the decency to call or email somebody back specifying that the appeal that was just p... read more
I got a message that my account will be terminated as of 2/3/26. So I didn’t think much of it. I get an unauthorized charge today! Took forever to try to cancel the policy! I didn’t even want to renew. Very rude with everyone I talked too. They refused to refund my money! So they stole $145 for something i didn’t want at all, and I will not be receiving for the month! Stay away!!!
I feel like the company is a scam. I purchased a policy and the rep (Roger) assured me of I have any issues I could L him and he would personally handle my issues and see to it that it got to the right place. Less than a week later I call and the number he gave me was disconnected. I had a claim (control arms) denied because they were old and had wear and tear! Isn't that what the warranty for?! Do not get a policy with this company and beware of any clause in any contract that states “If there is a reasonable mechanical probability that the condition causing the failure existed prior to or at the time of purchase of your program—whether known or unknown at the time of purchase “ They use this to deny any claim if you haven’t been paying them for years at least.
