They are the most terrible company I ever dealt with. They lied to knowing I knew nothing about an overhang. They took a vantage of the situation so now I have a overhang that will not fit my boat, and this is ***************. they are not known for good customer service.Would not refer this company to anybody American made carport
Great job on the initial installation, but they did not have my walk-in door and promised to bring it later. In about two weeks they showed up with the wrong door. I was told it might be another week before they could bring the correct door. Since then, I have had very little communication and no indication of when they might bring the correct door. I can understand delays and tolerate them as long as I know what is happening, but this lack of communication has me frustrated and concerned that I might never get my door.
I loved our building that we did buy. I enjoyed working with the dealer that we worked with. However, when it came to dealing with American steel carports directly to schedule the delivery and the set up of our building, their customer service was probably the worst I have ever dealt with. They lied to me multiple times. When the installer came to install my carport, he had informed me that I had standard anchors and that I had declined the wind warranty. My contract specifically states I was to receive concrete anchors and the wind warranty. Now they wont respond. Buyers beware!! This company, not only will charge you u disclosed fees upon delivery, they wont honor their contract.
BUYER BEWARE. I WOULD RECCOMEND GOING ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. READ ALL THE FINE PRINT AND DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING. These "buildings" are anything but that. If you live anywhere with high winds and any kind of poor weather these buildings will not keep rain and snow out. I have photos of snow piled in on both sides of the rollup doors where it was able to easily get into the building with a bit of wind, more so, unless you go through and re-seal many missed areas with silicone or similar you will find water leaks consistently ... read more
Crew was great. Very respectful and courteous and did what I would say is a good job. The rest of the interaction with this company was extremally poor. After working through the plans, getting permits and having the slab poured they informed me 1 week before the scheduled installation that I could not have a 12 foot high door. The customer service is AWFUL!! We were told by the dealer our carport was rated for snow. We had a snowstorm and the posts started to bow and buckle, so I contacted American Carport to see what could be done. The lady I spoke to was rude and kept talking over me. She finally told me to send pictures and they would have their ******* look it over so I did. Well I wasn't told that full enclosed 30 x 40 foot building was not going to be sealed and fully enclosed when ordered this summer and builtthis summer 2022. I have water on my 10,000$ slab of cement every time it rains and it comes through the corners as you see sunlight through the corners. I started ordering my garage in April. Deposit put down, but contact did not send me a contract. Needed slab plans in July, sent generic plans. County needed stamped. Contacted in Aug for this, told I needed a contract... Okay signed contract. Oct 2, On Oct 10, said I needed to pay slab plans up front. Still waiting.. Subject, never contacted me or kept me informed. I cancelled my contract that day. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend
