I have four very specific complaints about my FIRST bill after installation. The phone number on our bill was wrong, the online customer support center does not allow new customers in (the company confirms they are aware of the problem). The only way we can find to resolve our issues and pay is to call in. I am currently on hold for the fourth or fifth time. We owe approximately $2000 more than anticipated for the initial installation and fill! Wish I had never responded to their mailed solicitation (to add insult to injury,... read more
AmeriGas is the worst company I as a consumer have ever experienced. Their propane price is very high (almost $4.00 per gallon compared to average of $2.7-2.9) with terrible customer services that I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. I placed my order on Nov. 30th and the payment was already made. Their delivery was not only delayed for days (from Dec. 7th to Dec. 8th, and then again from Dec. 11 to possibly Dec. 12th, as was promised tonight again by a Resolution Specialist). They were even lying by saying that they “misse... read more
Amerigas has been overcharging me for 15 years. Several months ago Amerigas delivered 100 gallons to my tank that was to be delivered to a neighbor. We have called a dozen times. I received a quote from Amerigas for 4.65 cents per gallon. Another neighbor had 100 gallons delivered to his address for 2.50 per gallon. After 15 years of Amerigas overcharging me, I obtained a quote from a local propane company for 2.50 per gallon. I contacted Amerigas cancelling the service, had their tank moved, and was informed by e-mail that ... read more
This is the worst company ever. They purposely delay delivery, so that an emergence can occur and can add an additional $300 plus a reconnection fee for empty tank. About 2 weeks ago, I had a little over 20% of gas in my tank, so I went online and requested a delivery. I was told I had to prepay for a least 27% refill. I did this and paid this online. Again at this time I had a little over 20% of propane in my tank. 2weeks later and my delivery still has not arrived and I just ran out of propane. If I call them and request d... read more
Took a month to get tank installed, and still waiting for them to fill it, even though I paid up front.
I used amerigas for one year, after they charged me double what I was quoted I asked for a detailed bill which they could not provide. I asked for months for them to provide this. Finally when I was fed up with the run around I asked for them to remove the tank - to which I was told that I would pay a fee for terminating the contract 2 weeks early - which was fine with me. When they removed my tank they took my regulator and mounting blocks. I was told in order to get them back I would have to prove they were mine and not pr... read more
This is the worst business that I have EVER dealt with. Horrific customer service and fraudulent billing. It would take too long to detail all of the issues that we had with Amerigas over the several years that they were our propane supplier. We recently switched to Ferrell and so far the experience has been worlds better. One final, egregious issue with Amerigas is that when we went to close our account to move to a different provider, Amerigas collected our tanks and did not credit us for the remaining propane ($1534.70) d... read more
The prices are higher than any other company, they won't come out and fix the gas in my fireplace even though it's a gas issue. Saying they'll charge 2 to $300 to do it. Once they're on your property you can't change companies because then they say you have to take the tank out of the ground. And I'm not going to do that. They are very bad company
We purchased our house July 2020. The previous owners had propane thru local Gas Company, Wakulla Gas. When it came time to transfer the service to our account, we found out Amerigas had purchased the previous company. We didn't have time to research other companies, so we figured we'd stay with Amerigas. Big Mistake. Fast forward to July 2023, as limited in typing information. July 14, 2023 St Joe Gas contacted Amerigas telling Amerigas that they, St Joe Gas was now the new provider and Amerigas needed to come get their tan... read more
