Horrible. Quoted 1.69$ for propane per gal. Charged $2.22. Called 3 different times to get my second tank linked to my account. Failed all three times. Representatives put me on hold for over an hour then transferred me and that rep ended the call. Each time I call I am put on hold and it goes no where. Then asked to cancel account and they threatened me with over 400$ in early cancellation fees. Fees for the tank pickups and service fees.
Amerigas used to be a great company with an in-state office. Now, I ordered propane on their website to be delivered. I copied the information that was printed for my order. I am SURE GLAD I DID. For not only is the propane level down, which I updated online from when I first placed the order. Today is the last day for the delivery. And it is mid-afternoon. We finally received the propane of which Not ONLY was Amerigas changing the price that we were to pay, the driver OVERFILLED our tank. We were at 15% in the tank. And was then OVERFILLED so much that the tank gauge bottomed out. We had to call to obtain an overflow tank as we are snowbirds and would be leaving in a few days. They then were charging for the driver to install the overflow even though it was THEIR FILL DRIVER that was at fault. Now that we are back and we see that on the tank it now reads 30%. ALERT ! Driver of the Amerigas company servicing zip 93551 is a lier who told dispatch the emergency gas delivery we had ordered could not be delivered since "our gas tank was not hooked up" . This is obviously a lie since we are using the gas as I type this. what happens with this driver is that he is lazy and does not want to come up to our ranch so he tells dispatch lies. I called to cancel my service with AmeriGas because I could not afford their price per gallon and fees. They made me wait a month for them to pick up their tank. Then they charge me $300 for the pick-up. I had a credit that they said that I lost to them. I would not or ever will promote or purchase anything with their name on it.
We have become just another number in the cycle. The WORST service and getting in touch with a live person is almost impossible. Elderly parents in an old home with propane as the only source of heat. Almost ran out in the big freeze last year and here we are again; submitted order on 11/11 and after 18 days, today, still nothing. tank is almost at 15%. I have to give one star because you can't do ZERO or half.
I purchased a new construction home in Fredericksburg, VA and AMERIGAS was sole provider for GAS services. I lease my underground tank from AmeriGas. Upon occupying the home an AmeriGas technician visited my home to make sure their system and tank was operating safely. I wish I could give them 0 stars! We purchased and had placed and installed our tank when building our home in 2007 by a small local company. In 2015 Amerigas began delivering our gas. We never set up any service or plan with them. After about a year they started trying to charge us a tank rental fee. I would call in, 10 phone calls later it would be removed. I wish I could give zero stars. This company is horrible. Lied about being able to lock my tank when we moved out. Called them 5 times in 2 months for a final bill and kept getting the run around. 3 months later I was turned Into collections. Wouldn't let me speak with a supervisor after many times requesting to. I now have to open a court case against them just to clear my credit. Worst experience with a propane company ever
I gave this one Star, because there’s no option for none. We had a 120 gallon AmeriGas rental tank filled, and a few months later found the tank empty. It’s important to note the propane is only connected to one appliance and it was never used during that time period. We reported the empty tank to AmeriGas and a technician was sent out to troubleshoot the problem. The technician found no leaks in our system but recommended putting in a new tank.
