Amerigas was an inexpensive propane provider that supplied our home with propane to heat our home in Trainer, Pa but they also had serious issues that should be taken into account when choosing this supplier. Their delivery drivers came to our property previously and had lit a cigarette next to our tanks while filling our tanks with propane several times and this was brought up to management multiple times yet the same delivery driver maintained employment with the company and delivered propane to us after this happened. Als... read more

I have been an AmeriGas customer for 9 years and I cannot believe how bad their customer service is. I would NEVER use them or refer them to anyone. They are a case study of what not to do in Customer Service. I am so frustrated and words cannot explain how incompetent they truly are. How they have a business license is remarkable to say the least.

This company tried to charge me twice for someone to come out for a sight survey then a separate fee to tell me yes they could set the tank.. There was only one visit. I was told the charge would be $95.00 They also wanted to charge me almost $2.00 a gallon for propane. I cancelled the account and they still billed me for $206.00 I called and complained. Told them they were double billing me for the same visit and I refuse to pay. On 12/11/23 I paid 102.65 believing that was all and then received a bill for $72.70 for late f... read more

Amerigas is a teribble company to deal with. Not only are their prices higher than many other local companies, but their customer service is atrocious. I had switched propane companies in October 2023, and it took numerous phones calls and messages for Amerigas to pick up their tank. Finally after about 4 weeks they had picked up the tank and then processed to charge me a pick up fee. Although they did credit me the amount of propane left in the tank, I was never informed of the pickup fee when this was requested. I have bee... read more

Amerigas is a joke and a horrible company. I have my delivery receipt for 119 gallons. They billed me for over 700 gallons. After multiple calls to correct their error, with multiple promises to fix it, I again called to correct their error and was shifted through multiple people in their Phillipines call center for several hours. Finally ended up with their Billing Manager who understood and would have the problem fixed in a few days. I then got a :corrected bill for 546 gallons. They subtracted 119 gallons from the over-bi... read more

I feel they price gouge their customers horribly. My area, average cost/gal $2.42. Amerigas is charging me currently $3.71! It is horrendous. I have been on the phone multiple times over billing and delivery questions and nothing gets resolved. I am stuck in a contract for 1 more year. If I end early? A $149 penalty plus $149 tank removal fee. Lord knows if they add anything else on. This seems to be criminal what they are doing.

I've been with Amerigas since they took over ********** ***here in Northern Idaho. It's always a struggle to get service since the takeover. I have 2 tanks at my home and shop. One tank at a rental property nearby that has recently been sold. Any action to the accounts has been very impossible. I tried to go to the office in Post Falls to get face to face assistance after I'd been frustrated with phone service. There was a sign saying that they no longer staffed the office and to call or go to their website. But the icing on... read more

I was charged an annual fee for their service. I called to cancel my service and have the tank removed. The tank was neither removed nor did I receive any contact for three months. I called again and was told that, basically, it had been forgotten or the order misplaced. After another month, the tank was removed. I then received a bill for a "referral" fee - I suppose for one employee to notify another employee or contractor that I needed my tank removed. I was charge $ 100 for this grand service. I was then charged another ... read more

We purchased a home in August 2022 that came with a tank leased from Amerigas. My initial attempts to work with customer service online or over the phone were frustrating at best. I found a contact number of one of the local employees that graciously provided his personal cell number so I could avoid further frustration. After recently calling him when he was with his family on vacation, I felt bad and gave the corporate number another try. This resulted in being charged approximately $3.86/gallon when propane was going for ... read more
