They request you please your order to fill your tank when it’s at 30% so they have enough time to deliver it before your tank is empty. Then they will provide you a delivery window of up to 7 days after your order is placed. Then not deliver your propane within that window, and try making you pay an additional $300 to get your order delivered within a day. A delivery was scheduled by Amerigas for 1/9/24. We waited an entire day for the delivery driver to show up. Spoke to 3 representatives of the company, at separate times, during the day, all of them stated the delivery was on the way. NEVER showed. Extremely poor customer service. DON’T use this company.
Horrible! I reported a gas leak on 9/25/2024 and it took them 5hrs to respond. When the tech finally arrived he confirmed the tank was leaking and needed to be replaced. The issue is they only send one service guy with a truck and because the tank was at 30% and the truck crane could not reach the tank their solution was for me to use up all the gas before they would attempt to remove it. I have never written a review for any company or service I have experienced, but I felt as though I should explain my terrible experience with this company, so no other customer has to deal with terrible customer service. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I reported a gas leak multiple times over the past year with no response. I have had nothing but aggravation with company since they took over Energy North Propane. Not only are they price gauging they are also adding extra fees to my account. When I contacted them to find out what the charge was for, I was told it was a mandatory fee and they charged it to all their customers. No explanation of what the fee is actually for. If zero, stars was an option, that’s what I would’ve chosen to share. ??WARNING ?? AmeriGas gives you zero service. Avoid them at all cost. Your pipes will freeze. No propane delivered to heat your home even when you contact them for a fill with plenty of prior notice and follow their instructions. We have had repeated issues with Amerigas. This year we scheduled a refill of our propane tank and the delivery guy came, said our tank was full, and left before my husband could go out to meet him. The tank was not full, but we were able to still use our fireplace. We tried to reschedule a new service. We were told that the delivery would occur between 20-26 Dec. This is the most despicable company I’ve ever worked with in my life. I own multiple companies through my private equity firm and have had a long career of building firms, always with customer experience first. It’s clear the clown car leadership at Amerigas doesn’t value this sentiment or taking care their loyal customers. Amerigas is the worst! I was a customer for probably 10 years or more. Come to find out that they had been overcharging me for several years. I told them to come get their tank. They were charging almost double the going rate for LP gas. When I asked them why they were overcharging, they claimed they weren't. Basically they were overcharging by around $1,000 a fill. Needless to say, we have parted ways. There should be a lawsuit against them for knowingly overcharging their customers. And if Amerigas is ever your last resort... read more
